    Brendan I've owned 3 aircraft a Citabria 7ECA a Fisher Horizon 2 and a Piper twin Commanche and can get a go in a Plane any time I wish but don't have the Money as I would want to pay . If I listed what I've flown it wouldn't fit the Space provided and I shouldn't have to anyhow. It would look like i was big noting myself and I don't go for that and detest SNOBS. I am NOT a non Pilot EITHER and how that got there was not of my doing. I've not done anything about it. Because I didn't know some would try to make a BIG DEAL about it. This section of the Forum is for ALL aircraft Pilots. That's fairly inclusive. No one should feel excluded OR afraid to ask a Question. here. Laughing when one of my Posts is deleted is pretty Ordinary also.There's Plenty of Posts that have been deleted before Mine was. Mine was only in self defense.. Nev

    A few Hijacked commercial airliners flew into buildings Back there and hijacking took place all over the World including one here at least and I've Been through a Bomb scare on a Plane I was flying and it's NOT fun. While the ASIC should be made more 'fit for Purpose' there's not many People who are going to want any (apparent) reduction of security on and about RPT Aircraft, anywhere. Nev

    I HOPE we haven't ALL done that. It's something that often has very serious (even Fatal) consequences. It's A VITAL action.. There are things you Must be Certain of. Good on the Being truthful about it. and bringing it to Light. It will Help.others to think More about it. Most times the fuel lasts just long enough to get you airborne. Consider that you have to PROVE any fuel selection change. Nev

    THAT is strange. Usually the actuator goes Up for Up. If you leave the fuel selector ON on some Planes you are then relying on the float Needle to be sealing perfectly. Some Beechcraft have the Flap and Gear (little)) levers alongside each other, and some pilots like to retract the FLAPS, immediately after landing to Put more weight on the wheels for Braking. Nev

    The bit's go on the Aircraft frame. Not as as strips but a scribed shaped light weight piece firmly fixed to the frame. You can trim such a Piece to be the exact size and orientation needed to mate to a rubber on the fiberglass door.. No whistling noises better seal and more chance of having the door a good flush fit and no excess Load on the Hinges and catch and less likely to come open as it will close more predictable than one you have to Use force on.. Interior trim and beading will fit better also . If more strength is needed include some Marine Ply or fibreglass matt in the Balsa.. Nev

    Well put fd & Thanks for Posting. There are times/conditions where you can't LAND in Both Places. It's not the same as flying over as the speed through the Air warms the Plane 30 degrees C in cruise. and you have ways of heating the Airframe . Nev

    Poultice-like . Rough as Guts . Do it once and do it right. It 's Quieter. You can get some Horrible noises from badly fitting doors. Nev

    Yeah, you have to do it FIRST. Just do one at a time. it will cut down noise too. Nev

    With Vastly differing gaps it may Pay to make them More equal with balsa pieces glued in place covered with thin canvas held there by two Pack resin, Use Plasticene to check the Gaps and then glue the rubber on when you are Happy. A lot of pressure in the Hinges and catch is not desirable. Nev

    The RPT section wants it and most of their Passengers wouldn't welcome any reduction of security either.. The "Good Old days" where everyone went up to the cockpit are gone forever.. That's SAD but the scene is not getting any Better. It's getting worse. . Face Reality and Make your own decisions as to what you do,. You can't change the World. NO Politician is going to gain votes by appearing to want to reduce security at Airports. Nev
