  1. I would think the marap is attached to aircraft forever.
  2. No. Every mod has its own marap because raaus pay around $30000 per marap and get it back off several people instead of one paying for the whole thing. The advantage to them is if it's a popular marap it will keep bringing in revenue. Long after it's paid for.
  3. It's a fixed rate for each marap isn't it. $770 ?
  4. So if you have a pre 1987 thruster with 582 you can't transfer ownership and reg unless you can fit a recon 503. What about shifting them to exp. Can that be done.
  5. In my xair a circuit is a long trip😁
  6. I will be staying raa unless it becomes a problem . I only fly an ultralight around my local.area here.
  7. Ok. I will look into again. I was told 10 hrs flying and 8 ground school. Maybe it's because I don't have cross country.
  8. I think it is another 10 hrs now. Plus that again in ground class. $5 or $ 6000
  9. Actually after sitting on an airbus for 14 hrs on Monday I do have respect for people that can spend days in an LSA with no room to move. No toilet.
  10. From what I understand these are casa rules which raa are now enforcing.
  11. Vh is an option but then you have to convert from RPC to RPL which is another few thousand. Unless you already have an RPL.
  12. True . But to me it would be a record if he did it on his own. Flying the whole trip with an instructor is like getting a trophy at kids sport because you were there.
  13. I know of a 582 Gemini that is stuck in limbo now. They won't allow the transfer.
  14. A 15 yr old could get an around the world airline ticket and do the same thing
  15. You might be ok because it's already in your name.
  16. Since the mt beauty accident they have been going over every aircraft with a fine tooth comb when applying for ownership transfer . Thrusters were never factory fitted with a 582 and there is no maraps or stc for it. Even though they were fitted for safety reasons. 503 s are marginal with 2 people. Raa have looked the other way until now. I think they are under pressure from above.
  17. Nice job. Pity they can't bring out a maraps for thrusters. All 582 thrusters are now non compliant if you try to transfer the rego. Which makes all of them spare parts. I suppose experimental might be an option but then you can't train in them.
  18. Where do I find this article
  19. I have the set at the bottom. Pretty poor quality. They work but not that well.
  20. Sorry. I should have read this before I posted.
  21. Imagine if you had thousands of hours on that type. And the controls , elevator in this case, feel slightly different to normal you might call that a gut feeling. Small malfunctions have brought down many aircraft.
  22. How is it a record when he never flew alone
  23. great photos as always. have you loaded it to 600 yet
  24. How Dangerous Are R22 Helicopters? The Robinson R22 helicopters are generally considered safe, especially when operated within their guidelines. However, they do require a high level of skill and experience from the pilot to handle the unique challenges they present. The helicopter's low inertia rotor system and the need for quick autorotation in case of engine failure are critical factors that make the R22 demanding to fly. Despite these challenges, the R22 is a popular choice for training and recreational flying due to its reliability and cost-effectiveness. Engineering.com+5
