    Everyone I know that works on them does a 600 gearbox inspection. It must be in a manual somewhere otherwise they would not do it.

    The 2 912 uls at Latrobe valley aeroclub were only switched to Mogas last year. Been on avgas for years.

    I have chosen the ignore function because I always end up in an argument with that person no matter what the topic is. 34000 posts and not once started a thread himself It's a shame someone with so much to contribute consistently chooses to post rubbish instead of sharing his knowledge. Every Phil unicomb video that has been put up gets snide comments from him. I like Phil's videos, I find them entertaining and his explanations are very clear and easy to understand. That's all I will say now let's get back on topic.

    You start going on about who employers hire and fire. The topic had no mention of commercial pilots who are on a much higher level of training and experience than the regular rec pilot. Every topic I post which I do to keep the forum going ends up in an argument with you. Then your mate above posts some Wikipedia bullshit about a hand plane For fucks sake.

    It was called recreational pilots forum before. My mistake. Cfis and instructors are commercial pilots if they get paid. Anyway I was just making the point that commercial pilots are held to Higher standards as they should be.

    It's the common theme of an experienced pilot cutting corners. Makes me glad to be a learner.

    The faa report has come out on Sam's crash 2 years ago. He skipped his preflight and payed with his life. He was in a rush to catch a commercial flight back after delivering the cougar. The sad part is he was already too late before he left.

    I don't think we will agree . It is a devisive subject. Think of an American aircraft carrier which is basically a mobile town with a population bigger than where I live. Those people are living and working around a nuclear reactor 24/7.. Never heard about any accidents or problems.

    Just wondering what you guys think about how often you should replace cables if at all. My cables look in excellent condition when I check them but they are 26years old now.
