    Yes, they never mention the cost in the videos. Imagine the serious RC gear it would take to operate it 8 big batteries

    Beautiful Autumn morning today. Did 1.4 hrs flying , very smooth and a light Westerly. Took a video to show how it flys with a bungee adjustment on the ailerons. I can actually fly hands off which made me realise how heavy handed I was on the controls before constantly fighting the tendency to roll left if I eased up on the stick. Every instructor I have had also commented I was too heavy handed as well. VID20260315090708.mp4 Flys knife edge good too

    I don't think money is an issue. These blokes work for Tyler Perry making movie props. All the huge models they build are for the bosses collection.

    i fail to see how someone so critical of rotax can be so supportive of this engine. but i must also state i have found some good reports on the rotec and some of the bad ones are definitely operator error.

    Bloody hell. Not ad for rotecs. What happened to the 3 cylinder radial that was being developed in south Australia. I know they had a demo driving around in a vw beetle.

    Trouble is a lot of customers have had a bad experience and been ignored or abused if they contact them. Hopefully they have the radials sorted out by now.

    I am surprised Scott chose that motor. I know it looks good but at the risk of destroying the aircraft in an engine out. I have been into rotecs workshop and they were doing some impressive work on jabs and airframe repairs. But I haven't purchased anything either. I was pretty disappointed reading how some customers have been treated.

    It's not an uncommon situation for buyers of these engines unfortunately.

    The ideal engine would be the gnome rotary replica being manufactured in NZ . I can't find it but it is supposed to be a well mad engine. And reliable.

    i see windsocks that are tattered occasionally, if it was me i would have built a tabernacle mast to hang them on. so it could be lowered to replace the sock. bad things can happen to old farts on high ladders.
