That doesn't mean the prop is/stays at fine pitch or the Motor would overspeed as your airspeed increases. C/S means engine revs stay constant (over a certain range of Airspeeds). Nev

    You check what's in the Element mainly. Use a Magnet to sort out the steel and Iron particles Wash the others with mineral turps or kero so you can see better.. Like panning for Gold.

    With a New Motor Cut the Filter open at the first Oil change. If metal evident try to work out why. Some new motors can have swarf in them from inadequate cleaning before assembly. IF I found that I'd be dropping the sump and check all bearings and oil pump intake screen and let whoever supplied it Know and ask what they want done. You don't want to be caught far from Home and at the Mercy of the Local Mechanic.. Nev

    Don't confuse Limit stops with Pitch control selection positions. I have difficulty determining what is actually being referred to. CS is Not the SAME as in flight Manually adjusted Pitch which stays at the Position you set it to.. The Fine Pitch Limit stop (in the Prop Hub) is set so that the engine does not have to Be revved too high for you to be comfortably above the Planes stall speed IF the Prop fails to full fine . Nev

    The First production Jabs had KFM motors in them which ceased production and Rod Stiff had to make his own Motors as he didn't ever want to have to depend on other engine manufacturers again. Nev

    Same fuselage cross section as the 3 engined B727. The B 727- 200 version was a lot Longer and carried More Pax a bit faster. Nev

    Spill mercury in a big aluminium Plane and you will write it OFF . It forms an amalgam with Metals some of which end up with little strength. Not very good around People either. Nev
