  1. You might have to explain that one to Me. Nev
  2. Plenty of Instances Of serious DAMAGE as well. Only covered to first transhipment Point. I don't know where you get your "SEEMS" from and 2 of them?? Often the Price charged is More than the Value of the Article. Nev
  3. "IT won't happen to ME", is OUT THERE. Accidents only happen to other people . Watch the Weather . It's more erratic. Nev
  4. Nothing but GRIM in My experience. nev
  5. At the temps there you need most of that for an RPT. The issue is single runway and having a damaged Plane on part of it. Nev
  6. I think we "did" those topics better in the OLD days. Most of it is still there IF you want to Look.. Nev
  7. Some people raise the flaps to make braking more effective AND WHY locate the Levers close together? Any how when you MOVE any control THINK about what it does.' Also Incidents such as this one is the Main reason I have never used Mt ISA as an alternate. SINGLE runway and miles from anywhere and you need all of it. Nev
  8. Another factor here would be the Weather and Mistakes as yet not correlated. WADE through the Comments, Most of which are Useless, but IF you persist you'll get a better idea. The truth will OUT. Nev
  9. Bit too early to make that connection. Of course it will be checked as a matter of due process, A NEW one could break up also in certain conditions. NZ is not a place Known for shoddy aircraft work. They actually Punch well above their weight there. Nev
  10. Just needs to be in Balance, doesn't it. Nev
  11. Don't get the Idea I'm a football fanatic. This match was only the second one I've watched in a lifetime. I've Lived In (near) Melbourne since April 1965 and It's almost compulsory to support SOMEONE AFL. Quite a Nice bunch of Players I reckon. It's very much a Dollars thing though. (Like everything). I have no desire to Leave Victoria, though MANY love to HATE it. EXPANSION is ONE of our Problems. GO AWAY, it's full and horrible anyhow. Nev
  12. I was wondering if it is used on descent these days? There has always been some concerns with using it. Nev
  13. I wouldn't want to be Piloting the planes taking some of those supporters back to BNE. Nev
  14. Instrument approaches only go the Minimum on the chart where you must be fully visual or go around so the Title of the thread is not helpful. Commercial Jets don't normally use runways where there's no glideslope Info or a VASIS, Visual approach slope Indicator, available to back up your approach angle judgement. . Nev
  15. Good Plane for the Job. Hope we find out what Happened. Nev
  16. Watched it all and They deserved to Win. Nev
  17. Both could have been doing visual approaches and are supposed to be stabilised by 400 Ft AGL . Either way the Plane doesn't fly itself, despite what many thInk about Commercial Jets. In Controlled Airspace I can't see How/why this close Proximity went unnoticed and both Planes would have Had TCAS. Nev
  18. It's Dead easy. There's not a lot of visibility above and below in a lot of cockpits. Nev
  19. Rubber also Hardens with Aging.. I'm not sure you can do much about that. It makes old Tires difficult to "work With" and they can Crack where they flex.. Nev
  20. The Radar has to Point where It's "looking" and be enclosed for protection. Nev
  21. Yes, hydrocarbons RUIN rubber. Everyone should know that. Nev
  22. Illegal . Nev
  23. Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD. Consider other Users who should not have to anticipate such antics and you are supposed to set an example of GOOD Airmanship ALWAYS. Nev
  24. Built for a Purpose. How it Looks ,doesn't Matter. Nev
