    I know What I like and I wouldn't be alone in that choice. Have U flown a Tandem seat? It's easy to have Plenty of width. Side by side is often cramped, and SIDE BY SIDE must be a Lot Wider and More drag. Don't KNOCK it IF you haven't tried it they say. It would NOT be hard to" thin" the fuselage . Nev

    A .C-180 WITHOUT A Kit fitted is NOT particularly STOLISH. A tri gear 182 would perform as Well.. Their good point is the FOWLER Flaps and wing washout. The RV-15 may be better stressed for aeros. I'd like "G: at +6 -4 and no washout. I'd like a TANDEM seat Version spin certified. Should also have Less drag that way and should not be a MAJOR rejig either. Better Vision. More comfort. Nev

    THAT speed would need a lot of Power, especially with BIGWHEELS. You only need them when landing on rocks or POSING. Nev

    Pretty Sharky bit of water. I wouldn't be flying over it at all in a single engined Piston . I like to limit the Occassions I RELY on Luck. But that's Me. Nev

    You do need to be MORE RECENT with a tailwheel. I'm resistant to the idea that to be a REAL pilot you MUST have one. They are harder to get Insured and most Unlikely to be available for Hire.. They are Inherently directionally Unstable and you HAVE to limit the Braking or it will tip on it's NOSE. Nev

    IF it has to be explained to you, you probably would not Understand. I saw that on a T shirt and liked it. IS the Market place already crowded with Hi wings? NO. It's RV's first Home build and they are good a that.. Possibly/Likely you don't lean towards Hi wings in any case. I would prefer a Tandem seat arrangement, myself, but hiwings do cross winds better. (Allow more Bank angle). Easier to get into and load and are easily strut braced. (light structurally wing strengthener.) High wing allows gravity Feed for the Fuel. This plane is all metal with windows in the roof and looks to be capable of higher G loadings than Others Might have. Them's my thoughts. Nev

    Put tricycles on the ground without flaring? I wouldn't recommend it. YOU CAN fly an entire career without ever flying a tailwheel Plane. It's the flying Part you must get right. A twin will make your feet work when you do assy. So will LIMIT cross winds and aerobatics.. Nev

    80 minutes to watch it. It shows what a NICE Plane it is.(autopilot and all. Depart before daylight. IFR flight Plan Great weather. Makes it all look SO easy.) The Headline is a bit "excessive/misleading" don't you think? Surely comments are permitted and I Cant stop Comments on MY comments and actually welcome them IF it relates to Aviation particularly.     I thought it might actually do it at first being diesel. It's too long in the air as well without a stop. You can't get up and move around either. Not necessary Unless you have no other option like ferrying over water. Nev

    The distance is 3284 Kms, to start with at 280 Km/Hr. Be about 9 Hrs in nil headwind . MAX range at econ cruise (slower) is 1739 Kms. NO Reserve. MAYBE we CAN'T TRUST what is on U tube? Nev

    Always underpowered . Planes in that engine configuration are uncommon. The Lycomings were not much bigger (180 Hp) and props must be able to be feathered. Good historical coverage. Just with a significantly less that full reading I have flow with at least 6 of the Pilots mentioned and KNEW another four. Brian Walker quite well . Small World. .Thanks for the INFO.     "I" Don't know. Some of US think Instructors SHOULDN'T be on the Committee. I don't happen to think that way. I think it's good to have People running the show who Know about Planes, the SYSTEM and who can keep the show solvent and protect US from risks. Nev

    There's detailing to finish it off. ( I hope) Any Dorsal fin is there to energise the fin and rudder. Whatever is there It will make it more effective. Below the horizontal stabiliser it's an anti spin feature. Continuation of the rudder makes it better. Many rudders are too shielded by the other tail feathers to recover well from a spin,(upright spin). Nev

    Adverts pay for Most of the Cost in todays world. Trips to Oshkosh are the spoils of office. It's mostly a sales promotion thing but not REQUIRING of attendance at to perform satisfactorily as an Organisation like RAAus. IMHO. Nev
