  1. my engine coating is called inox. i spray my boat motors with it and anything else i want to keep corrosion off. great product. have you ever seen a rusty sheep.
  2. Check what oil is in it, as Rf said. Before you worry about anything else.
  3. what are these ac like. good to fly. easy for a low hour pilot. would like to hear from owners / flyers of these types. looking at getting one to learn tail draggers and cruise a bit faster than the xair.
  4. Wasn't he avoiding a bird strike. Thought I read that somewhere
  5. I have about 40 mts left. 17. Mackay. Shaped 17mm hoses for my isuzu trucks are $800 each.
  6. Sad night for the pies. Bloody Fitzroy beat us again.
  7. I have an email address for a bloke at the factory in India. Sometimes he takes a while to respond but most of the time he is fairly quick. I had the parts I ordered 5 days after I spoke to him. Freight is expensive but it's quick. Actually it's a Facebook address not email. Will get it for you.
  8. I don't see the point of group g for VH pilots once casa brought in the class 5 medical. Raaus must have lost a lot of potential converts. Fair enough for raaus pilots that want to upgrade mtow I suppose.
  9. I also have a direct contact at the factory and get any parts I need from them. The Australian agent is hopeless.
  10. Has got standard entry. If it has it's a pia to get in and out. I fitted a wide entry kit to my last xair. Made a huge difference. My new one has been widened even more.
  11. must have been a ufo. heard nothing more after that post.
  12. boss used to send us out to the bins with a supply of foam tape and duct tape. had to seal tailgates and auger doors before loading. canola runs like water. big money at stake.

  15. great photos. canola crops look fantastic.
  16. its just a basic explanation of the system i found, nothing more. the system must work ok given the excellent service record of the 787.
  17. got it from this page
  18. Unlike many older aircraft models that derive cabin air from engine compressors, the 787 utilizes electric compressors. This not only reduces the aircraft’s overall fuel consumption but also minimizes potential contamination from engine oils. At the heart of the 787’s air conditioning system are two packs that are situated beneath the aircraft’s fuselage. The air first enters the packs where it’s cooled down, and then it is pushed through a series of ducts and distribution points to reach different sections of the aircraft. Temperature and air quality onboard are paramount for passenger comfort and the 787 allows the passengers to experience a lower cabin altitude compared to other aircraft. This results in higher atmospheric pressure, which can lead to increased oxygen absorption, reducing fatigue and some of the other common discomforts of flying. The aircraft also boasts of an advanced filtration system. As the air gets circulated, it passes through HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filters, which effectively capture a vast majority of airborne particles, including bacteria and viruses. This ensures that the air passengers and crew breathe is of the highest quality. i read about this a while back
  19. thats a lot of money. i am complaining about $5.00
  20. might have to move to traralgon. club members fly free
  21. at sale there are some cameras at the runup bay for r9 and i guess they have them at 27 end as well. so even if you don't call out your reg they can get you with the cameras. i am thinking stick to the grass strips and don't give out rego might be a way around it. but there are only a few of us that fly private planes here because the weekday airspace restrictions keep most people away. the council is upsetting everyone for a few dollars a week. why not just charge commercial aircraft and leave us alone to practice without the financial penalty. the raaf owns the airport anyway. shire grubs just can't help themselves.
  22. the wellington shire didn't listen to anyone and went ahead with imposing landing fees. got my first avdata bill this week.
  23. i have been following don too. i think he is scared of finishing it.
