I am disappointed with this comment. I expected more from you. My 15 years volunteering with a crash rescue unit did not include training to deal with inane comments. About as informed as a journalist talking of Cessna triples.

The F35 was touted by many as being able to replace the aA10 even as recently as two years ago. At that time the A10 was scheduled for retirement due to the wing service life reaching expiration.
When first test flown the engines rotated in the opposite direction to that currently used, which destroyed most of the lift over the wings. Changing rotation (swappingsides) overcame this.
