  1. Thanks red750 and other posters. The problems I have are, the empty and MTOWs as well as the cabin dimensions. The model designation varies according to the operating country so the models and weights are a mish mash. Aircraft advertised in Australia occasionally have specific BEW and orMTOW but not generally. As I am of fair mass, these things are important if I want to carry a passenger.
  2. Hey folks, lose a little privacy and bring on easing of the Covid19 restrictions as it seems to be tied together by the PM. Sign up and then delete it if that concerns you.
  3. Unfortunately Wikipedia does not have speeds and weights for most and theJabiru site only has current aircraft POH,s that I could find. Thanks anyway.
  4. kgw your .06mm plug gap is 1/100th the correct size. A slip of the decimal point me thinks.
  5. I have noticed a number of Jabiru aircraft for sale but I cannot get specifications such as weights, speeds and dimensions for many. Does anyone know a reference to compare all Australian models? Thanks in advance.
  6. Mailed you some info. Cheers
  7. Enjoy your drive then. Cheers
  8. I am disappointed in your travelling style spacesailor. Orange to Holbrook 400k or less depending on which road you choose. A good days drive return but that fuel economy in your car?
  9. Maybe to get tailwheel experience before the agpilot training?
  10. Unfortunately a strong crosswind stopped some of the antiqhe aircraft flying but overall a success
  11. Yen, did you mean to say lower speed and pressure?
  12. They have an annual tornado season. Seems that warm moist air from the Gulf travels north and mixes with the cooler winds off the Sierras and around they go. Tornado Season. Tornadoes can occur at any time of the year. In southern states, peak tornado occurrence is March through May, while peak months in northern states are during the summer. Tornadoes are most likely between 3 and 9 p.m. but have occurred at all hours.Nov 1, 2019
  13. I believe that the plugs will always be black/brown running unleaded. Only grey if running leaded..
  14. I may have met the said glider pilot when I landed at Tocumwal a couple of years ago. Don’t judge a strip due to just one flyer.
  15. I am surprised at the lack of hysteria wrt this aircraft. If it was a Jabiru all would be grounded immediately. CASA have a different approach to this problem. They were happy to kick the local product on shadowy statistics.
  16. ABC news online has an aerial pic
  17. Urban Dictionary- unverified Wikipedia rubbish.
  18. Ian, in previous iterations after view a new, unread post when returning to the list the post just read disappearEd. Now after reading the new post when I return to the unread list that post is still there. I have to go up page to new posts to clear those that are read. You may be aware of this or not. Keep up the good work. Thanks
  19. Hey Ian, stop and smell the roses. You are driving yourself too hard. KISS is easy for many of us.
  20. Please don’t run the engine in the hangar. Outside at night if necessary
  21. A great journey especially in winter. Amazing place.
  22. Hi Ian, maybe only my iPad but as I read whats new and go back after each reading the message does not clear. I have to resell them unread .. Keep up the good work though. I think at times you are chasing an unnecessary perfection.
  23. Thanks for your efforts Red in compiling this reference
