  1. The short loaded stub inside acts as the "ground plane" I have a MobileOne version.
  2. Do you want me to send you a copy of the relevant pages?
  3. It can't be hired etc. with an 'on condition' either. can it? So the reason for not going 24E is?
  4. But how much of a 'grandfather's axe' is it?😁
  5. The only way we could find the LSA55 I trained in when it was flying was The strobe on the tail. Little planes disappear into the background
  6. MC313 (RCH313) Air Mobility Command Flight Tracking and History 06-Feb-2026 (DMD / YDMG-YNTN) WWW.FLIGHTAWARE.COM Track Air Mobility Command (MC) #313 flight from Doomadgee to Normanton /graphics/ICAOtype/BE20.gif Accident Beechcraft B200C Super King Air VH-PUY, Friday 6 February 2026 AVIATION-SAFETY.NET A Beechcraft 200 Super King Air crashed in floodwaters about 800m west of Normanton Airport (NTN/YNTN), Normanton, Queensland...
  7. And passenger access?
  8. Accidently posted and could work out how to delete the whole post.. I initially thought the motor was Oldsmobile... but that was the Commodore V6😵‍💫
  9. And Diamonds that first used them were out of the air for Years.. Had one sit on the strip here, as they were not allowed to just replace the engines with something 'normal' It was internal piston cooling that failed in design... pretty sure resolved now.
  10. Nothing to do with the topic, Just a comment Ignoring upsets the flow of a 'conversation' BUT as 'Fly Tornado' (former name?) was the most ignored member Is skippy trying to re-emulate the 'record'
  11. The Cornelius XFG-1 was an experimental glider designed with an even more unusual role, to be towed behind a larger aircraft, such as a B-29 bomber, and act as an additional fuel supply to extend the range of the towing aircraft
  12. Hi, What was it in and why was it taken out after so low a time?
  13. prices starting at $110,000 for the complete DHK180 package No mention of the two cylinder suitable for smaller planes, other than the pdf spec sheet download 2 Cyl 120Hp is 16l/per hour but price is probably going to be in the R915 range😒 seems to have been in the 'coming soon' for ever
  14. Hi Red, Do you have any content on the pic/plane/builder?
  15. How relevant is the shutdown 'frigteners' with regard to the rotary with no reciprocating mass?
  16. I regularly get suppliers (more often than not Chinese registered eBay sites but not exclusively) who are Obviously using AP for transportation, yet refuse to send to a PO (generally making security the excuse) The way around is address to PO Box/Street Address of your Post Office i.e. to send your PO box 75 the address is 75/xxx Street Address Your Town Postcode the 75/xxx are just examples and would be you own numbers. Startrack Air Also sometimes needs this address varient to get PO instead of street delivery Been using this for years Oly problem was when a supplier who advertised using AustPost... sent by courier... AP refused to accept of course
  17. will be great when they release the version for the rest of us with real phones😒😁
  18. It will be like most.. once tail is in approach angle/on deck, you judge down either side of the cowl. Did 150 hours in Soni, pilot is in back seat.
  19. I had one of them.. Had an outboard motor tank fitting on his mouth so he could 'talk' to my plane
  20. #coolaircraftoftheweek – Explore WWW.FACEBOOK.COM explore #coolaircraftoftheweek at Facebook
  21. Has 'Fly Tornado' changed his name and moved to The Oaks
  22. Sounds suspiciously like US 'megas' involved in removing competition for their outdated ideas ..again...
  23. Don't Walk Arounds happen in the 'heavy' world? maybe not the number of times we hear about pitot covers and bits of tape left on?
  24. Down draft as opposed to shear... My first landing on the secondary dirt strip Winton Qld in my "new" Terrier. Had less than 15 hours total time in it. I had around 200 hours but the last 150 were Soni.. a completely different 'kettle of fish' to fly..Low wing no flaps Hit the (as I found out later known) down at the western end.. full noise lower flaps.. on first bounce ...lets do that again. A down draft with any consistency can be compensated for (sort of), which even fresh to the plane I was able to compensate for and made a much more normal exit from the sky on the second go.
