  1. A good spot may be in 'Resources' title Rotax 912 parts suppliers by Danny. Just a thought.
  2. Yep correct; when I wrote the post you refer to, I had been informed that engine oil had to be removed for the weighing (at the time I thought that is odd and contrary to previous). Checked further and that information was incorrect for some reason. Weighed with engine oil at full and other equipment etc.
  3. Nice morning for a Nynja fly to the beach catching up with flying friends. Summer is on the way so below the clouds has thermals starting by mid morning. Nice and cool under the tree canopy at the beach. Sand was hard and smooth a top landing strip.

  5. Three people are dead after a light plane crashed at an airport in regional NSW and burst into flames. The crash happened at Shellharbour in the Illawarra region on Saturday morning about 10am. Police have confirmed three people are dead. Images from the scene show the completely destroyed aircraft in the middle of the runway, with police and firefighters surveying the scene.
  6. Weather up here is starting to heat up and getting a few storms. It’s early in the season but getting build up. Went to fly Wednesday and DI’d engine and opened hangar doors. Mate next door offered a cuppa so over I went and caught up how his auto pilot and new screen is progressing at Foxbat. Weather changed a bit and did not fly. Thursday was a bit kinder with only a few light showers but low cloud. Did a full DI and took off cloud base at just over 1200 ft and local flight school doing circuits at next airfield 10 miles away. Radioed my departure and intentions. Found 1500 ft cloud base to west and one big blue hole was further to west. Returned to home and gave the Nynja a wash in the rain. Nice fly overall.
  7. A two seater would be nice if they were to design and manufacture a model. They will be enjoying get this one moving through the air with multiple owners.
  8. He was told the correct time proven method to repair; but for some unknown and maybe not surprising reason he deviated from that method with some of his own ideas. It's a real buggar to wreck a canopy.
  9. I can see this 336kg MTOW aircraft at cruise speed of 87 kts consuming about 2 US Gals. I'd expect they are providing accurate specs as he seems proud of his product and would not like to be proved incorrect. Just my view of things. Powerplant Engine: Spirit V2, 42 hp, inverted V-twin, air-cooled, direct-drive Fuel Capacity: 8 gallons Fuel Consumption: 1.8 – 2.2 gph in cruise Approved Fuels: 91 AKI unleaded auto gas or 100LL avgas
  10. He said he made good out of a design and military contract, I guess cashed up and put a dream into go. Looks a very nice setup and outcome. Best of luck to him for the future. I expect someone over here will buy one and I look forward to seeing the real thing up close.
  11. Since the 1960s, the Boeing 737 has ruled the skies. But this week (October 2025), it was overtaken by the Airbus A320 as the most popular plane in commercial aviation. Airbus has now delivered 12,260 A320s to airlines, one more than the 737.
  12. He would have been better comparing the Sling 2 to a Piper or other low wing and comparing the Sling high wing to a C 172.
  13. That's how I've done single and multiple joined cracks.
  14. Usually a very easy repair, take at least 2 hours but likely 4 hours and pretty much invisible, someone at your airfield or within 100kms would have done these repairs.
  15. Being sold to the 1st inquirer; to be confirmed after Sunday as the seller is at sea and very poor comms.
  16. A mate is selling his SE2 as he upgraded his avionics. Asking $150 and if posted may add $20 or 25. If any serious buyers I'll put you in contact to him so you can get details direct from him.
  17. Maybe try Xair Ireland they have a webb site for all models. I purchase my electric carb heaters off them. Always been helpful. Cheers.
  18. ABC is reporting a helicopter (They may be mixing up a gyro) and that it started a further grass fire that took time to bring under control. Dry up this way now so heaps of grass fuel for bush fires. None of my local sources have any detail of the event.
  19. Some of the Lions players are pilots so part of our aviation tribe.
  20. I surprised you didn't go to the Fitzroy catchup with the players, you could have got some selfies to put on the forum 😁🙃🦁🏆
  21. Or be cabin crew if there is turbulence. Players flight is covered as they have the cup in the cabin so room if required.
  22. Well done Lions (Brisbane / Fitzroy); great mauling play. Next year should make it 3 in a row. 🦁
  23. The manufacturer address's balance with mass bolted on the engine, I saw one recently that had two mass weights attached top and bottom of the Rotax 912; it has and E-prop replacing the original Fiti prop. The factory advises the mass to be attached, it this case for the lighter E-Prop. (Image of upper mass added.)
  24. Yes; use the pump bottle, soaked rag and also a small paint bush for bolt heads, nuts and tight places.
