    I recall a friend telling me he had a bfr knocked back as he had to do specific bfr each other two years when due; I don't recall if it was 2 axis / 3 axis or his water endorsement. Only occurred in last two or so years.

    Not much to go on but looking at the metal piece attached to the bottom of the duct which may be a heat shield and therefore perhaps a cracked exhaust or exhaust flange failure has allowed exhaust heat gas to directly affect the duct. Looks like higher temp degrading the right side of the duct prior to the duct structure collapsing in its softened state.

    Great advice to follow about what filament is not suitable. I'm sure the supplier will get onto things, likely need to do a recall on others in service /use. Thanks for posting.

Image of recent catchup two weekends ago. Enjoyed an overnighter in the Nynja with Sandy at our favourite bbq beach site catching up pre Xmas with flying friends then an early start back to Palmyra for the Mackay Aero Club bbq event.     Being reported that the two aircraft were part of four involved in an acrobatic formation flight and were returning to land at the airfield when the collision occurred. Very sad.

    Media reporting an Aircraft crash wedderburn nsw The incident occurred near Napperfield Airfield in Wedderburn, NSW, where two light planes collided mid-air. One plane crashed into nearby bushland, and the pilot, who was the sole occupant, was killed. The other plane landed safely at the airfield, and the pilot was uninjured. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) is investigating the crash.     The farm I used to fly from sprayed their sugar cane crop using an Xair. It looked great from above doing the runs and turns for next run (very graceful) as I would see that whenever my take offs and landings were at a time when Ross was spraying. Maybe add a spray kit and auto fly kit to an Xair and run a business? Cheers.

    Look up Bowen airport ERSA YBWN; additional information 2. Model aircraft operate within the airdrome locality. They operate safely on the east side of the northern end of 22. All safely and land when inbound or departure calls are heard or aircraft seen. I've landed there when they operate, no issues.

    Not draggy, just a well designed roomy, comfortable aircraft with nice width for two up, head height and plenty of room for luggage. Just what I like in aircraft design.

    I don't understand why builders and owners don't make or invest in a tow bar before first flight as it makes moving aircraft out and into hangar so much easier and accurate in the movement. Well done. Cheers.
