  1. For sale is the keyed start switch. Only used for 15 hours and removed due to choice for toggle ignition switches and a press to start system. In like brand new condition and one key only.
  2. Yes. $1500. Buy it quick before the price goes up again:)
  3. What's the tourist attraction?
  4. Price now $1500.
  5. And sample oil while running.
  6. Yes, and they have a few different models. Also, Amsa beacons always publish the list of approved currently available brands and models so best buy one they endorse. It's also wise to instruct your passenger how to activate the PLB in case circumstances are that you are unable when its needed to be used. Same for marine (Boating/ EPIRB)ops.
  7. I get the ACR range as have added feature that promotes visibility (Strobe & Infrared Strobe Built-in bright strobe light (one flash per 20 seconds) for night rescues; IR strobe visible to night vision goggles.) Worth the little bit extra. PLB400 as an example.
  8. And it's in the warbird heritage 💣💣💣 along with the Skyrangers. 🙃
  9. Nice looking; don't lay it on its side.
  10. That’s right; but will likely be allowing endorsement to RAAus quals, which suits me better as won’t have to gain an RPL. Such may be available in July.
  11. Heavy sludge collects and pretty much remains at the bottom of the oil can below the plate at the bottom of the mesh filter screen. That's also why it's important to disassemble the can and clean it. Running avgas creates more sludge buildup. The sludge remains even after draining the oil via the bottom plug, as its very thick.
  12. A friend at Mackay did his RAAus bfr on Thursday and the instructor mentioned that in about 4 weeks the endorsement to access controlled air space will be available. So must be getting close now.
  13. All ways burp the oil from sump into the can then check the oil level.
  14. You burped engine to check level before top up?
  15. Hi Marty This is one method. DIY Firewall Boots.docx
  16. There is no way they are for Rotax to sell. Everyone who cuts their oil filter open after changing out will know the big difference; e.g. spring method and pleat numbers, and two other components, etc.
  17. Rotax don't want you to mix oils, stick to recommended one you have been using. That's why they want the type of oil in use labelled on the oil can near the filler. So you have a prompt to the oil being used. So in short don't start using the new x oil in your engine if its been running sport plus 4 oil for example.
  18. Also no sport plus oil for about another 30 days as seems shell missed placing an order, a mate bought his last 3 bottles.
  19. I hear he works only a few days a week now; it is great he is still working, best to support him and work around his opening days.
  20. Became aware of this last night from E-props after feeling slight movement of spinner back plate during preflight di yesterday. 21. 6 or 8 years ago the oil filters were made in Austria. Don't know about current supplies.
  22. Why use other than Rotax oil filters? They are not expensive and we're not sponsored for R&D by Rotax. Any others that fit may not filter or bypass correctly and may be thin walled and result in an engine compartment fire due to a split filter case.
  23. Some guests would be members having a look and using a device that does not automatically log on in their name. I do such a bit via my phone.
