  2. ................... unfortunately some videos seem to be more about the announcer than the video itself better with the sound off
  3. E24 - nnnn .............. got it Neil_S
  4. thanks FV - I'd like to see more on this requirment of aircraft registration - is there a printed RAA policy / protocol on this ? (prior to say 2023 / 24 a 24 - 0000 aircraft could remain 24 - 0000 (with a time expired engine - as long as it was not hired or used for training) ................ but now things seem to have changed ?)
  5. what type of aircrfat rego is it ...................... a 19 - 0000 or a 24 - 0000 I'm hearing that if its a 24 - 0000 (factory built) and the motor is time expired - then it has to go to 19 - 0000 rego that's my ruff understanding of it ?
  6. what about ferreting around aviation museums ........... even volunteering the old hands there (where ever there is) should be able to point you in the right direction ? ........................ probably an obvious suggestion https://visitbirmingham.com/listing/midland-air-museum/137221101/

  9. ......... yes it was unusual how the legislators imposed a driving log and hours on those that were getting a license while they themselves were not subjected to it (of course that sequence was unavoidable) all that system - the driving log - does is stimulate false entry to get those hours up ( ....... a bit like when you have a CPL and need just a few more hours to stand out shoulders above the rest) (and I appreciate not all do this)
  10. .................... and; 'the floggings shall continue until morale improves'
  11. The Tairov OKO-1 (Opytno Konstrooktorskoye ................ it could have been a futuristic concept (sponsered by the great-grandparents of Messers MacDonald, Jack, Dinno and Hutt) - on the off-chance that the 1935 60 kilo person might evolve into ..................
  12. Nakajima G10N Fugaku - gunship (post above) Project Z called for three variations on the airframe: heavy bomber, transport (capable of carrying 300 troops), and a gunship armed with forty downward-firing machine guns in the fuselage for intense ground attacks at the rate of 640 rounds per second (i.e. 38,400 rounds per minute). interesting concept - 40 downward firing guns A .303 shell weighs 14 grams ? - In one minute: - 38400 x 14 = 537,600 grams = 1/2 a tonne
  13. keep up the good work Red ................. always a treat to see the wierd and wonderful (the planes Red)

  16. yes - its hard to reconcile all the things we think we know NZ pilot - not an Oz pilot - worked for Company - got promotion - on the turps ? - stole - went flying at night
  17. misinformation ? ........... when I owned by little Tecnam plane - as my daughter was going to Maroochydore - I asked her to get a box of shell engine oil (with all the tech instructions) - when she was aked what sort of plane it was ......... she said it was a 2 door ...... oil was not purchased in the end
  18. I had to check ........... my informant tells me this pilot owned 2 aircraft - both Kappa / sabre - so that starts to make sense why there is one in the garden on a post
  19. that pilots family still live at the address ....... you are right ? - it was a Kappa / sabre
  20. noticed a Sabre ultralight in a garden on rural res land (about 40 kms nth of Gympie) (can't get close to it - don't know its history) looks great - on a timber post at that - by the looks about 2003 / 2004 these planes were very popular and sought after .............................. sabre 2.pdf sabre 1.pdf

    elvis's jetstar motorhome

they are all hustling ............... for a $
  22. in some ways this web site is ground level discussion about things aviation in Australia - facts, opinions, hearsay etc. DG (Dan Gryder) puts it all out there and its a good way to get an idea of things happening in a HUGE aviation environment - USA. I enjoy his weekly broardcasted report If it's a 'chip on a shoulder' or fact ........... all humans suffer that flaw and most of us will recognise it
  23. they need to give the commentator a banana or a bowl of apples ................ so you can hear the plane flying
  24. I can't se how domestic drone delivery improves society - perhaps a medical delivery ..... however it's a great opportunity for neighbouring houses to get in some aerial target practice
