"Oh poop" said Snoopy to himself as he flaired (AvRef) "That glint came from a CASA Inspector's badge and I'm gunna be ramp checked when I park this thing."
"We've had a complaint from some bloke named "Red", so where is your flight plan, your maintenance little booklet, your current map of Flanders (and Fields), your radio endorsement and your latest machine-gun firing permission slip" asked the Inspector.
"Get knotted" replied Snoopy, who wasn't so cute when he was not on camera "Radios haven't been invented yet, you wanka".

The Head Mistress (who was given that title because she was seeing a number of married men [it was actually a bevy of them], and women [NTTIAWWT, and by coincidence one of whom was named Bev], at the time) stepped in and suggested to AhLox "Perhaps teaching kiddies may not be your forte, but you are certainly a fine hot speciman so if you are interested in adding to my list, my mobile is 0837 744 75*."

Total silence? Did you read the posts around #37?For those of us who couldn't get to Temora the total silence from all who attended leaves us feeling like the organisation has flown VMC into cloud and everone who attended the meeting is just holding their collective breath and mentally counting off 167 and 168 and 169 and 170 and 171 .........Colourful language you use there about VMC, but there were 120 - 150 members who did attend, and you not being there doesn't mean that the organisation isn't on the way back to straight and level, but perhaps with a whisker'd plug and some crook fuel.
I attended the Board Meeting on the Thursday as an Alternate for Jim Tatlock. Only 1 or 2 members attended that meeting as observers.
I also spoke for 5 - 10 minutes at the GM on the "Restructuring" and a motion of thanks on that issue was kindly moved and approved by the meeting.
Having spoken for that long at the meeting, I want to allow others to comment here, if they wish, before I go through it again.
The GM went for almost 2 hours and many issues were discussed.

Is no one prepared to say what happened at the NATFLY meeting?Scotty

Perhaps you need to allow those RAA Members that did make the effort to attend, time to travel home and onto a computer.

Alan,Were there many at the meeting Captain and how long did it run for ?Alan. My rough count from the front, based on approx. numbers across the hangar and rough number of rows, had it at well over 120 attending initially.
In the end it went a full to 1 pm or so, so about 1 hour 45 minutes.

G'day Ranky,Any outcomes or comments on this mornings general meeting?I spoke from the front table at the GM so will allow others to state what they thought before I say it again here.

A few more from today (Saturday).
A bit a cloud is coming through ahead of what is predicted to be showers, so plenty of aircraft are heading out.
I have concentrated these pics on a bit more detail, a bit like if you had been here and stuck your head into a few areas.
Didn't have time for more as I had to attend and speak at today's GM.

Thanks Madge,Great coverage there rat, Slarti looked just as rediculous last year on that postie bike !......I see my old mate there again with the little corby, we were neighbors last year and Windsor and I enjoyed his company. Almost like being there ...thanks ...............................Maj...

I wasn't sure whether Slarti looked most like Marlon Brando or Marilyn Monroe (the "Bikie" or the "Bike"), so I went with the kinder option.

A further update ....................
Wind has just gone a tad west & is between 18 & 23, but sky is blue and weather is GREAT (AvRef), however with another cool night on the way.
Some day trippers are departing while there are plenty of demo aircraft and gyros active in the circuit.
And a bit of scandal ............ slartibartsimpson is here riding a "Follow-me" Postie bike & he looks exactly like Marlon Brando.
Plus a scoop ............... don't believe everything that Telstra says about their wireless internet either. This has been a pain to load due to wireless dropouts.
Attendance is certainly down on recent years, but some additional aircraft have arrived today, so a few further pics are below:

Thanks VFR. Will do what I can.Hi CaptainAbsolutely great pictures, thanks for posting!!!!Can you ask some there to turn on the web cam................. http://www.natfly.com.au/webcam/
as it is still showing "
"Natfly Temora Airport 2012 Looking to the North"
I'd like to see 2 or 3 cameras in operation with also a constant broadcast from the Temora CTAF as well.
Then all members who can't attend can make vroom vroom noises & circuit calls from their lounge chairs.

Friday 2 pm .... Great weather with wind from about 200.
This morning was cool and if you are from F'nQ or F'n NT you might have thought it cold.
Day is now warm around lunchtime.
Lots of aircraft flying in, with heaps of VH registrations amongst them.
Sorry about all the photos of the Helicycle, but I have been hot for one for a while now.
If you are here and not having fun, then check your pulse.
Congrats go to Ed Herring and his Committee for the new layout of displays. Much improved, I reckon.
And also for the Spitfire flying display, which I think had David Lowy, himself, at the controls.
Hope you enjoy the following:

Weather Thursday was overcast with showers, as predicted.
Some aircraft arrived and below are a few photos that also show the set-up of stands etc. A lot of people are working hard for the members.
Check out the clouds in some of them as these were taken just before a SW change came through.
The weather this morning (Friday) is PERFECT or a little better, with clear skys but cool and it looks like magic flying weather.
If you are thinking of coming, then give it a go.
And as shown near the bottom, there is another SportStar here for Ahlocks' aircraft to play with, if he comes up.

G'day All,
Thought you might like to see some photos from Natfly on Wednesday afternoon.
Temp was about 34 C, blowing 15 - 20 knots gusting 25 knots, exactly and consistantly right down 36.
Hope you like 'em.
There is a line of thunderstorms on the way to us maybe 3 - 5 hours west and a change behind that, so tomorrow looks a bit suss.
That's Mr H's camper in photo 4.
