  1. Gee that is a lot of CD's - or even DVD's.
  2. Thanks. It does look nice. Probably as good as FS9 was to it's previous version. Though FSX was a big leap too. But wow! 150GB of HD space! And I would guess that Australia is still pretty poorly mapped. I really need to get back into that side of things, but it has been about 18 years since I have played with a MS machine for any serious time.
  3. Ok. Probably just getting a drink here then.
  4. Well, that's what I heard. Just asking.
  5. Talking to other people who live near Mascot, I heard that one day (not too long ago) the Antanov took off. It was bringing in a turbine for the "Snowy2" scheme. Did anyone here see it? I also heard that then the turbine had to be trucked to ..... the snowy.
  6. (Supposedly last week) A Big FULLY ORANGE plane too off from Sydney. Runway 34. Daytime. Who/what would that be?
  7. OME, cargo planes usually have their company name on them. This was B L A N K I think (can't be sure) Yampy would be more correct. But on that, I have never noticed them before. Granted I wasn't looking for them, but there again, I DO walk around with my eyes open, so it does confuse me why I haven't seen it before.
  8. I was in Lane Cove (Sydney) driving. So I couldn't get a picture. An unpainted A340 was on final for 16 Sydney. Ok, I didn't get to see him for a long time, but I saw it was a "skinny" 4 engine plane. So it wasn't a Jumbo. Could be a 707, but I don't think so. No paint job at all. Why would "they" be sending an unpainted A340 into Sydney?
  9. Errrrr, Given the Covid condition, how about you put those flights on hold? We don't want people from Victoria coming here.
  10. So after reading the two pages of this thread: What's the go when you are flying along - with a CO detector installed - and it goes off? Other than opening windows (No, not a microsoft reference) then what?
  11. Sorry..... Gee, nice landing. I wonder how many people spilled their coffee? ;) He got 'em down. A bit of an excursion, but.... The plane was (looks) serviceable.
  12. Errrr, if I make a new computer from scratch "retiring the old FS" would not be needed as it would be a new build.
  13. How are people supposed to look at it , if they don't have bookface accounts?
  14. This section looks a bit dead. I was wondering if anyone is still playing with the sims. I am wanting to get a machine - probably in about 6 months, but want to get some ground work done before then. The last windows machine I used was in 2000. So AGP is a big deal in that parlance. The new machines are at a whole different realm. Anyone?
  15. Though not aviation related, it is funny. In .zip format for compatibility purposes only. Funny.zip
  16. Possibly. I posted it here because it made me laugh at how stupid the words are. Say one thing, mean another and do something else.
  17. There is this big push for people to get tested and all that. My thoughts are neither here nor there. But we are bombarded with these adverts. "From the chief medical officer in Canberra......" He goes on talking about the virus. "If you think you have Covid-19: Stay at home and get tested!" So let me check I understand what he just said: If I think I have the virus, I stay at home and they come to me and test me? I don't think so! Me thinks the script writer is being paid too much. But, it makes me laugh. So I thought I would share it here.
  18. Thursday or Friday night. About 20:00 TOLL rescue helicopter landed at COOMA Hospital from Marouya. Anyone know what happened?
  19. There is 6 pages of replies to this topic and I haven't read them all. If it is the one I think it is they showed a picture of the plane and it was VH registered. How does VH become ultralight? I'm not demeaning the fact. Just curious if these two are the same or not.
  20. That looks like it. But 3.33 of a 45 minute show isn't really going to give you much.
  21. Well, if things keep going as they are now - Sunday 22 March - Domestic flights are being cancelled. Boarders are going to be blocked...... Social closeness rules mean you have to have 1.5m between you and "others". Schools may get "early holidays" from Tuesday. I think holidays will become virtual the way things are going.
  22. The ballad of the dunny roll
  23. I'll "bite" at this. Ok, NOW they aren't covering Covid19 as a valid reason to cancel trips. Say you booked it 12 months ago - totally unaware of CV19. Now, they say they aren't flying to .... (where ever). That's not YOUR fault. Granted it is probably better to stay home. But as there are no flights, you should get your money back. Of course the insurance companies will try everything to get out of paying. But given you paid for it before this happened - and therefore wasn't in the equation - they can't really say "NO" to you.
