There's a cheap (and I mean super cheap) Jabiru with a crook motor on ebay at the moment.
Have a look as it could be a dream come true.

"Full flap, may also allow you to descend steeper and slower if required"
The Japanese...... have developed a seaplane, that has flaps that drop almost 90 degrees, to the wing, making takeoff in less than 500 mtrs.
I, have a look for the link later.

That's my point, If they put the "time out timer " piece into the new European (25khz or is it 12.5khz) We could be the forerunner's of the world.
That's got to be good for someone.

Will Australia now look at moving to the same frequency spacing as per Europe, as well as the time out timer.
The not noticed the rest of the World studying the "time out timer " problem, or is it just a gimmick to up the price.
As the World has Heterodyne problems too. (single-side-band reduced carrier, seemed to work on CB radios.)

Perhaps this is the "Gas-powered" aircraft you would see in the far future. People are still "working" (dreamer's) on this concept. Saw a "Mantaray" shaped one, with flapping wing to propel it

It's just me.
Trying to decipher travel insurance for over 75 YO's
It's ridiculess the amount of information they want, & "all the "get-out-of-jail" clause's they have.
What would happen if every one stopped buying their insurance & took the risk themselves. After all after we sign off on a policy that's so full of holes, who knows if it would pay-out in that uncommon occurrence.

Yenn.
My sister-in-law's grandson is now a commercial pilot. did it in the UK, but had to go to NZ to gain his hours.
Fuel shortage,
In NZ they had a three week fuel outage, (not shipped from Australia) & the "general public" NO fuel, Shift workers alternate week. LAWYER'S UNLIMITED as doctors, fire'ies And essential services.
NO PRIVATE FLYING AT ALL
post-script
ACCIDENTS NIL.

HARGRAVES
They changed the frequency of the detectors & camera's way back, so they wont work now.
BUT the larger radar units at airports & maybe on large aircraft could have a signal strong enough to make that old unit beep !.
We need the frequency of said radar to get a receiver to "hear" it. as opposed to having an :AB S transceiver.

F H said,
"Some people were feeding the (condensed matter) back into their engine"
how about piping it to the air cleaner to act as "upper cylinder lubricant" then its burnt off & any residue goes out of the exhaust.

BUT you DID say
"NOT to look at every graph, just get a gist of it"
If one doesn't have the LAWER read every thing, you will be Punished by the bureaucrat,s looking to make a name for themselves.
IF IT TAKES A BOARDROOM OF LAWYERS TO WRITE ANYTHING. how can we NOT read everything.
IF WE DO read everything WE will never sign anything. As all the dots & eyes are correct Without any loopholes or warranties implied.

Not only are us Older one's getting thin on the hanger-apron, there's going to be lots of aircraft mothballed due to the inevitable cost of fuel raising beyond our & Your reach.
THEN my Great Grand children, will wheel out that frugal HummleBird, And at 60 miles per US gallon. Go for a 45 minute flight in the EMPTY sky. ( four litre's (one gallon, per hour)).
That would be a dream flight.
Not mine but FRUGAL isn't it.

"Start at chapter 8. "Piloted flight simulation results" No need to look at every graph - just get a gist of it."
I did that !, So did at least 16 more builder, starting out on our dream airplane. & low & behold Bureaucratic nasties ruined that as we DIDN'T read all the FINE-PRINT.
BUT someone want's to swap his old car for the HummelBird, It' s older than my 1998 Delica !. ( He's having a look at the plane, I said no engine start because of neighbors, & I don't fancy a drive in his car( He wasn't happy with that))

WOW
I didn't get bitten over my radio rant.
It's not the retailer's fault. it's that Bureaucratic Government department. Sitting on their Arrrrses think of way's to LOOK busy !.
( each time I write "Bureaucratic" I have to get that OLD Tatty paper book to look it up).

Don't they back-up those "tablet's onto the "main computer". ( double writing everything)
Our PC's, Laptops & Tablets All suffer the malady of stuff-up 's constantly, ( so many repair shops everywhere).
Even IPhone's are Not infallible.

MY DIESEL needs pre-heating, which drains any residue from a suspect battery, making cranking slow.
When I connected the "jump-start" I switched on the pre-heater, then cranked. But it didn't crank as the leads fell-off.
I would like to try a small "LIFE" battery to see if it could work any better than a Lithium ION POLYMER battery.
The vehicle battery is 140 cca, ( two 70zz battery's), Lots smaller than a 900 cca Lipo battery.

I bought a 900 cca jumper pack
The 1st time practice use On a diesel, the wires over-heated & dropped off, Quick replacement when returned tho.
Still have the replacement but have reservations about using it.

I got there Late as usual !,
great day & great muster of aircraft, many of which were leaving as I stopped at the threshold on the perimeter road.
Got a few pics but will have to resize them before upload.
Many thanks to the organizer's The BBQ cooker's, and a man with a camera "Mike Oakey". Hoping for more & better pics than mine.
I was going to stay over night but it turned cold & someone said 2degrees that night, so I beetled back home to a warm bed (love electric blankets).
See shivering camera pics.
