  1. If from the States, A dam site dearer than they should be, due to the excessive postage rates.

Its killing the goose that laid the golden egg.

Perhaps there's an Old fellow who can still "reline" drum-brake-shoes.  Was an easy job when riveted, & not glued.

  2. What is the LICENCE for a 95-10 registered aircraft, to allow over-populated area flight ?.

A Hummle bird with it's 1/2 VW engine flying over Sydney Without electric anything, were does it fit into GA category.

With its 700 klm range it could be a good, if a little cramped, tourer, up & down the East coast without a care in the world, because its VH now !.

  3. Regulation, or Over-regulation,

"Crying foul at the regulator and blaming it for all our problems is like a kid jumping up and down crying ‘it isn’t fair’."When I SEE a good model of aircraft Tossed into a trailer to go to the Tip (recycling-dump) And a dozen more Not to be finished just because Raa And Casa ARE going to be firm on lax regs, when the same aircraft Are flying with their "Grandfather clause.

Gives me a bad feeling of losing the "ULTRLIGHT AVIATION"  part, from the new "Get all private single engine aircraft onto the Raa register.

Great for the ppl flyers but not for the low-powered, made in the shed flyers,

that just want to fly circuits in their "I made it my-self" plane.

    STILL CRYING FOUL.

  4. Not Just Fuel, With NSW back in draught, the cost of animal feed is getting expensive !,

"NSW and south-east Queensland have basically run out of commercial supplies and most fodder is being brought in from Victoria and South Australia."

Lots of Hay-stacks on the roads,

  5. Like I said too many lawyers on the payroll.

"and spell it out simply, but they may take notice."  The lawyers will laugh, like the TV add giving the profits back.

  6. Like I've said for a long time, Five lawyers to write (a problem) and the layperson is without a clue of what they mean.

"Think in terms of strict liability offences.   Don’t just accept the hype. "

Keep at it and someone will correct the Lawyer-speak.

  7. If you only do one side (the contaminated side) your braking Will be unequal, & that's a problem for your landings.

Strip & clean both sides then split the Contaminated Shoe onto the other wheel, it will even the braking on Both wheels. (presuming top & bottom shoes are wet( or oil opposite side if only one shoe contaminated to match wet shoe))

  8. If both pads are contaminated, try putting one wet-pad on the other wheel's brake,  that way the total braking should even-out (one wet & one dry on both wheels).

And clean the disk/drum as well as the pads.

OR,  OIL ONE PAD ON THE OTHER SIDE.LoL ( just to match the sides together)

  9. Surly "Mayday" is not the correct call !, I've been taught it's "PAN", when not at "imminent risk to Life.

After all sailplanes do not have to carry much in the way of fuel-reserves, Lunch maybe.
