In NSW a few years ago, The cost to repair a "carbon fibre" glider was, 50% of aircraft, plus expenses.
I don't know if it's improved any since the one & only CF authorized repairer.

Still!.
The poor old "HUMMELBIRD" meets almost all of your requirements. Pity it takes a few years to build one.

My arm gets tired. LoL

Why have "wing-loading on a "safe" airframe when it already had been flying.
Sixteen potential aircraft stopped from joining the illustrious band of RAA homebuilt airplanes.

And what would be next?
RPT, so RAA cert drivers can earn a few bob, or a living taking paying joy flights.
There has to be an end to what you can do with your RAA certification.

Just met a Man,
Has pilots license but worrying over his medical!. He told me he is going to purchase a (cheap) Beach aircraft residing Bankstown airport,
It has only ten hours left on the engine, and he's going to go all out to get it onto the RAA register!, After flying it out of Bankstown to his home airfield.
Has he got a hope? of RAA rego.

My favorite plane has had a few crashes to it's name , mostly none fatal thankfully. (It seems too many)
I worry about a pilot trained in a large aircraft to solo grade, the getting into a untried single seater, as a test pilot.
The Notepad txt is about a new plane crash!. (only in America)

The Hummel is around 60 Klms p Hour. I thought 95-10 was stall at 40 mph.

My two cents worth,
"you aren't FORCED to fly"
But I am, "you are FORCED to fly" in the way Bureaucracy Force's you to fly dictates, even if I believe is unsafe that way.
Their way or don't fly.
Cut out the strength of a known good air-frame, to comply with the Bureaucratic rules of "wing loading".

You can't set it up as your in the air, that's what the Friends are for!. LoL
Anyone in the other Voluntary services you could tap, I have Firery's and SES. If they have a "donated" piece of "equipment at hand, they might do a training session.

Wellington vs Orange & Dubbo:
No comparison!. Orange 4 ish degrees lower than Wellington, which is 4 ish lower than Dubbo.
If you have friends were you park your aircraft, see if you can get a "wedding gazebo" to put over said plane.

Yes it was an Air Bike
But
Gravity said, "I guess it's all about personal risk. What someone sees as safe another wouldn't ever go anywhere near such a machine".
When I was building there was sixteen builder's also. all lost to RAA, by bureaucracy.
One went to the tip ?
