Yes.
I saw a video of a plane lifting off & going backwards at first. In a strong wind of course.

I've had the Invite from Phil,
Just a problem with Pleasing all the rel'oes. & such a lot, I might have to quarter myself, to be at more then one place at a time. LoL
Last message on this PC as on the move today, heading north, with over a thousand nephews & nieces, They joke about checking friends to see if they are related. It was a big family when I left in 1968,
Now its HUGE.LoL

Maybe next time.

The better "foot-pump" is the type used for "inflatable boats", far more robust than a cheap plastic one,
So off to the mariner to see what's laying around. LoL

He must work for Google,
They know every-thing.

Do what a lot of people do !
Use an air pump to push the fuel out of the jerry can & into your wing tanks.
They're on the market some-where for 4w drive magazines.

"within the legal parameters,"
And most GOOD mechanics can wring a few more horses from a lot of "mass produced" motors.
Just take a trip to the motor race track, Not too noisy, but lots of gee gee's doing the quarter mile .
Same with manufacture's putting out a higher HP motor of the same capacity as the stock motor.

"How would you like it if someone said hey, I like your house, I'll live there for free when you go out because I can't afford to buy/insure/maintain my own house while I'm saving"
Yes Grandson & partner are "house-sitting for me, Beats having an empty house awaiting thieves vandals & squatters.
And now He bought a "new car" So much for saving for that block of land !.
Just hope they eat All that food we bought for them.( last time had to throw out food which we thought they would enjoy)
And had my first invite for flying, thanks to a forumite, here in the UK.
Must say "Love this idea"
But isn't "Trips, invites & seat's" the place for owners to OFFER a trip in exchange for cleaning hangars and washing cars Swaging thimbles for new cables, or replacing rod-ends. and a thousand more little things that eat into your time.
"time" a thing none flyers seem to have more of, than flyers.
"I make a good passenger" LoL (hint-hint)

ps None pilot/owners get to spend more on travel, than when paying for flight-training, ( hence the wife wants to keep me away from air sports).

But WHY is it always for the young or female.
No chance of an older person needing a helping hand to change to a Job they could only dream about.
My cousin (UK) did three job changes before his short flying career. (depressurization popped an eardrum),
Ended up as a maritime navigator.
Sister-in-law's grandson is now a Jet jockey after his armed forces stint. Well out side your age bracket.
If you get a mature person that is interested, they could be (like me) put off trying.

Great
I'm into this, The government paying for my flying !; At three-score & 15 they wont get much of a return on the loan but the Happiness it brings should be overwhelming.
Hoping the they don't ask too many questions, Poor spelling, poor grammar. Sheiet memory ( four A4 pages of abbreviations, every town airfield starts with Y (why I don't know)).
TigerShark21 please send papers.

I believe a poor magazine was preferable to No mag !
You mean we had humour. I knew I liked the Old mag !. LoLThose who have been around long enough would remember the howlers and gaffs by the previous non-aviation editorsAs well as "How to do it/ It's done this way

NBN is cutting all existing cable/broardband & phone, Just to force you onto the NEW (wire-to-the-node) with a large increase in revenue, to get what you have been receiving for years !.
They say now, you can have the same download speed as cable, BUT you have to use the second tier, for the 20 mgs that cable runs at, & that's Not the minimum speed.
In the outback you could go for Satellite Phone & internet, but not in the city.
spacesailor
-
But What will happen after the small number of members are taken off the Internet due solely to NBN, switching off their existing & favorite provider.Same for paper mailouts , they were cancelled which saved heaps in printing and mail costs, yet some demand it. So it remains and so do costs.Wil the paper trail resurrect itself from all the bills only paid online, when you can't see your Emails or facebook, No phone or fax to contact the world.
except of course the expensive Mobile-phone, charged by the 30 seconds. On hold for forty-five minutes !.

Just checked the G factor for the old P&M trike +6g, -3g. And Fuel consumption @ 60mph/100km/h 8-14 lph.
So your four pot has the same fuel use as a two pot R582
Thought it sounded familiar,Found it in the opps manual - plus 5 / minus 3spacesailor

Any luck finding the fault ?.

THEREFOR
A small-wing loading will always be a Inferior (weaker) aircraft than the same design with a greater wing-loading. An air craft with 6+6- G load will take a rougher landing than a 3+2- G weakened wing (spar) aircraft.
what other than Bureaucratic ( to remove 95-10 rego'd aircraft) is the point, Manufactures are not compelled to work it out for the customer. Check the spiel, buy & get told it's not fitting into the category that you can fly.
I think the better criteria would be weight/power loading, making for a more efficient aircraft, (Rotax 503 power & under( say 40HP)).
Keeping the old rag & tube flier's happy.

Saw this on FB today, & thought about "Engine-out not being deadly"
HUMMEL ULTRACRUISER •
• Built by 2 experiences builders (I'm not one of them). Was a great flying ultracruiser.
1/2 VW engine. Loss of power cause me to drop her in a field instead hitting the trees. Have canopy. I don't have the tools or desire to rebuild. Set of plans.
Barnstormers add "classified1375084" under Hummel.
A bit like Norm's Bird. Never found out if Norm was OK.

That must be running LLLEEAAN."all Rotax 912 variants and 914" Running at "Fuel consumption at 86 knots - 8 lph "Single or two seater ?
And still no "wing loading" in any manufactures spiel !, that I have seen to date.
spacesailor
-
How about Less push for higher weight, & push instead, the "Wing-loading" up a notch or two, a higher stall when landing has to be safer than wallowing in at forty mph. with any cross wind."After flying GA for 48 years and AUF/RAA for 26 years I find RAA flying to be more challenging due to the low wing loading and less inherent stability."spacesailor
-
I had a look at a few New aircraft and not one had their wingloading in their advertisements"Any low wing loading aircraft is a challenge in gusty conditions, and all can be on a short strip if you are not in practice. Nev "
So how do you Know that your buying the wrong plane.

Now there's something I never heard off, a "fuel log"
My daughter has an open fire and puts "fuel logs" on as they slowly burn away.
But On an aircraft, wood- burner is a newy to me. smacks of Echuca steam-boats.
But who knows whats around the corner !.

A dozen unfinished, & finished never registered, Hummel aviation planes around.
Just letting children wreak them as toys.

My 1/2 VW prefers LL10. BUT I.m not allowed to store it as well as all the other fuels.at home.
So it.s 98 mogas most of the time. as used for outboard motors & Rotax582. .then mix in the oil.
