Who gives a ***t, they're a flighty lot anyway, my mate wanted to fly, so he went to work for her as she had more toys he could play with, if he played his cards right.
Ended up flying her around UK in an Andover some years back and got paid for having fun.

That's a shame!
Similar to last year.
Saw one a/c make a couple of missed approaches due to wind last year, then presumably he went back to base.
Other than that, a couple of the RAAF boys dropped in and later took off for a quick display, but said conditions were real rough close to the escarpment.
Again the weather Gods were not being kind.
Enjoyed the "hot dog" though, after queing for over half an hour and working up my appetite.
Hopefully, next year will be better.

That's OK,
"Stop whinging"
Mummy has plenty more to choose from.

The early Sav's were the "corrugated" skips -!QUOTE]Looked a bit like Anderson Shelters which were built for doodle-bug dodgers towards the end of WW2.
Still like them though. It's not always the prettiest things in this life that perform well.

Sounds like a great idea!
Won't need to re-paint the house after all, just buy the misses a new pair of glasses.

Bobby Gibbs flew his Cri Cri at the Bi-Centennial airshow at Richmond, I think he was 82 at the time, I have the airshow video.
He built the aircraft in the lounge room at a unit in Manly
When interviewed (Tomo take note) he said "it still flew quite well on one engine".

Sounds like the regulator/rectifier may be playing up because it should handle about 22amps max.
Check out this link which I hope helps you, and also check the smoothing capacitor because that could stuff the regulator if it's leaky and starts to break down internally

Welcome to the forums Jason.
I was close to buying a Skypup back in the mid-eighties, but my wife of that time didn't like the look of it, she preferred the sleek Piper Warrier I was learning on. After many arguments, I couldn't convince her, so didn't end up buying it.
I realized it had limitations, but thought it would be cheap fun flying on good weather days.
The seller said it flew quite well and was easy to fly being only two axis with rudder and elevator only controls. That didn't worry me, because I was used to that with my early radio control models.
I'm not much help to you regarding a set of plans, but there are several other designs which are cheap to build, such as the Affordaplane, etc;
Good luck with what you eventually decide on.

Welcome back mate, many of the old names still around as you have already seen.
Look forward to hearing more from you.
Kind Regards

Whilst probably every pilot would love to have all the modern gismos that are available, if it was a mandatory requirement, many would probably not be in a position to partake in relatively inexpensive recreational flying as a hobby.

I really worry about you Phil sometimes, you lead a lot of us forumites astray, but many of us like it:thumb up:

Sorry to hear about the loss of your mum-in law mate, when I was there a couple of years ago, it was nothing but rain and fog so you would have been better off enjoying a pint of Watney's warm beer in the pub anyway.

All depends on the level of darkness selected, the right photocell units can be set to whatever level you like, even detecting an oxy cutter just making it's way into a vault.Once things go a bit dark it is too late. -
Good onya, obviously not a site-seeing trip:black eye:
Hope it went well for you.
-
Even a simple photocell unit on the panel might not go astray, if things start to go a bit dark, do an about face and yet your arse back to base, and see the family again.

So you're the one,:welcome:to our forums mate, you must be the guy we've been talking about for years (check out the start of "The Never Ending Story" on this forum.I am the guy with the Ford Prefect[/b],What year is the Prefect? I've had a few of them, with both the E93A and the later 100E side-valve engine versions.
Raced a Ford Popular once, probably as fast as a small car of today stuck in first gear, but 55 yrs later, I think that's the finish line just down the road a bit, unless my eyes are playing tricks on me !
Worth a lot more these days day's than the original cost, if they are in good nick.
Kind Regards

Ban them from using OZ flight prefixes, it's probably used to inspire safety in the minds of their passengers.

You could imagine the size of the eyeballs watching that drain

Thank goodness! Once again FT you grabbed our attention.Back on the toilet seat everyone, it's not HeaThick black smoke visible from Heathrow Airport and surrounding roads is from a fire in nearby West Drayton, not the airport - @NBCNews -
[Waitin for news in these circumstances can be agonising for so many, even those that don't really know him but share the same passion. We can only hope and pray for a good outcome for Rob and all those who care so much for his welfare.

The things some do to please others is sometimes amazing
Well done Bex, I hope your generosity is appreciated

Years ago my brother-in-law had a Hillman Hunter and because the filler cap on the rocker-cover looked like a radiator cap, he was confused, and put the water in the engine and oil in the radiator.
I had the job of flushing it all out and getting it back to normal, plus replacing the oil filter a radiator hoses.
We never let him live that one down, however, he was at least good at anything to do with animals:cheezy grin:

Tough on you too mate, apart from family.
Feel for all concerned, as we all do.
RIP Rob
