  1. Possibly was. Supprised to see lack of sponsorship advertising on side of fuselarge. ie Grace Bros Removals, Kellogs Corn Flakes and the like. Maybe on the Mk2 version?
  2. I WAS considering going for commercial drone licence training, but at my age considered it too intensive, plus the cost is not simply loose change pocket money. Just too much for an old fellah like me.
  3. Yes but skippy, there'd be hundreds around the country that would'nt know where the location of YSwhatever abreviation airport is, unless they take the trouble to separately look it up. Not everyone on these forums are that well informed. Similar situation. Often only familiar with the author, but still gets used a lot.
  4. Probably not for long 🤣. How about the nose wheel shimmy at 23.23, better than dancers from the 1960's
  5. Building one of these suits my pensioner budget. Haha! Not sure it would meet Nev's full approval. 🤔
  6. I have a couple of DJI drones which rarely get any air time these days, and I live in Earlwood only about 6 kms (as the crow or drone flys) from the very perimiter of Sydneys Kingsford Smith Airport. If I try to fire it up indoors, the GPS knows i'm in close vicinity of the airport, and it would'nt even allow me to take off indoors from my living room coffee table. Some of the cheaper drones may not have this avoidability built in. It's actually not easy to find somewhere to fly them these days because of the legal restrictions.
  7. Looks great! Some of you guys have a tough life 🤢
  8. Good job Marty No leaning elbows on the table now, eh? 🤪 Gotta get our prorities right!
  9. If C of G is tooooooo far forward, adjustments need to be made. Not that i'd recomment this one. Awe Gee! I could have provided photocell protection to prevent that from ever happening. Been doing it for around 60 yrs. Missed out on making a few dollars.😢
  10. A reasonable assumtion, but sadly we may never know OT
  11. Have a family member who had a flight on that one for his 90th Birthday, after working on them many years before. Sad to see, but i'm certain the boys at Biggin Hill will have her in the air again.
  12. The que to do this sort of thing is fairly short. Glad i'm not on it.
  13. You're supposed to mention that Brendan, Shh! 😉
  14. Welcome! Lot's of friendly guys here with decades of knowledge to pass on if needed.
  15. Of course Nev. Would be great to be very proficient on both. It would apear that tailwheels are more popular in the US than here? Like many, I just love The Beatles.
  16. I'm NOT anti-vax and have had many over the years and nothing much has changed in that regard, but I am not prepared to join the head of the que for something which has not been thoroughly tested and proven effective beyond reasonable doubt. The human body is a wonderful machine in itself, and in many many cases (not all) can take care of itself. Natural remedies also play an important part in overcoming many ailments but rarely get the publicity many deserve. In the early days of the pandemic, there was one hell of a lot of scaremongering being broadcast. On tv news they mentioned that a certain large Sydney hospital was half full of patients with covid. A friend of my partner is the head of nursing at that hospital and said some of the wards were barely half full, and at that time said not one of their patiends had covid, and she could not believe what she'd heard on TV. As she said "if someone had it, i'd be the first to know". It was also a great money spinner for GP's and pharmacies to administer the shots. Believe that if you wish. But it is a fact. I have the figures including an extra $10 a shot introduced in December 2021 for them to claim which made a significant increase to their income, not that that worries me. What does really worry me is the large number of vaccinated people falling off the perch long before their time, not from simpy taking the jab with good intentions, but from all the side effects we never even seemed to hear about before. Who'd ever heard of blood clots in main arteries that were 18inches long? If you get the opportunity have a chat with someone who does enbalming. It does not bother me what people think of my views whether i'd be right or totally wrong. As I have said before, we all have our own views and like to feel that we know whats best. Whether it's supposed to be based on science or not, in life we should always question what we are told, because long term that can often bring up different results. At universities we learn what we are told, but the wise ones question it. No offence taken by some slightly abrasive comments about my intelligence. You could well be right. I appreciate others views and so glad that you are all still around. Rgds planey
  17. i'm not afraid to say that my personal belief is that I have not had one Covid jab and will not after nearly 5yrs of extensive research. If the jabs worked as suggested, why would it be necessary to have more and more if the original did it's job. Most who have been keen to get the latest one available have been diagnosed with it again a couple of days afterwards. It's the side effects caused by them which seems to be taking so many people out by wrecking the bodies natural immunity system. Think back 5yrs and ask yourself WHY are so many young fit people succumbing to illnesses barely even heard of before at their age? Over the past month I have now lost 8 friends all of them under the age of 42, and of many of them sadly leaving young families behind. Apart from strokes etc; They ALL HAVE ONE THING IN COMMON, but believed what they were told and thought it would be a good thing which is understandable. My brother in law lost sight in one eye a couple of hours after getting his first one and it was apparently due to a blood clot behind the eye which has never recovered. Thursday morning I got off a cruise ship, On that cruise I noticed 5 ladies with a patch over one eye which is bit of an unusual sight, so made a point to have a chat with them. Guess what? Same story! Trust the science they tell us. Don't be lazy, I say do extensive research yourself, not simply leave it to what you are told by people who are making squillions of dollars from it, and check the history of some of pharma's past wonder cures. It's not all, I for one would wish to have hoped for. My daughter used to work for a well known pharma company and said that doctors were told to push certain products to win golfing weekends, tickets for shows, and trips away. She say's the industry is unethical and stinks. At 82, i'm pretty fit and still working just about full time, so think i'll just leave it that way, despite what others may think. We are all entitled to our own opinion.

  19. You're the man for the job Ian, and all your hard work over the years is much appreciated. Thank you. Rgds Planey
  20. So was the tide really coming in?
  21. Be honest for once, don't blame the phone for your naughty antics.
  22. Agh! Nev, The old Fox 35 Rocket. Had a few of them and bent a few with combat antics. Those were the days of many onfield cremations as a result, but we did have a lot of fun. One of my favorite models of which I built many, was George Aldriches Peacemaker. Kind regards Planey
