We could have been neighbours, I'm in Homer Street.
Are you training with Central West?
I'll pray that the winds die down a bit, It's nice to have it smooth for your first few flights.
Keep us posted.
Kind Regards

As Fishla already stated, it's helpful if you can train in an area where you can get almost straight in the air.
I did some training at Bankstown and with long taxi's and getting clearance, probably wasted almost 25% of the time and still on the ground.
Other than learning to keep the nose wheel following the white line to the threshold, my learning experience for that 25% was somewhat limited. Worth taking into account unless you have fairly deep pockets.
Good Luck

Welcome Steve, from another scallywag, some are lying low

You can dribble with envy Frank, but with what you have, it just gets blown out the back.
Unless you wear an open neck shirt that is.

Sounds like a good decision.
Thanks Corrine, appreciated work, in between looking after the kid's, and peeling the spuds for your hungry man, etc.

I'll ave an arfGoodonyer Rick. . . .as you have probably noticed, the Aussies can be a weird bunch ( ! ) . . . .but they are generally welcoming to kindred spirits. . .and full of useful info, ESPECIALLY if you say things like "IT'S MY ROUND. . ."Phil
, I'm not greedy!I'd happily buy you a full pint, but I doubt it'd be Watney"s

For those that were wondering, it was filmed at Duxford in the UK at the Battle of Britan Airshow in 2010.

It was probably a company car. You know the story i'm sure.
They are not only the fastest cars away from the lights that the manufacturer can produce, but also double as tip trucks to transport bush-rocks, turf rolls and concrete bags when trying to make the garden look pretty on the weekends.
Been there, and done that! but if you keep it clean and black the tyre's, the boss will probably never know

You bet! But it has to be checked and re-checked until totally happy with it.
We wouldn't want it any other way.
Only then can the cork go "pop", and the smile of satisfaction get even bigger.
Can't wait to see all the photo's.
Kind Regards

The UK Govt. want £145.00 per annum just to watch the telly, ( even if you DON'T watch the bloody leftie BBC. . .)
I'm going to have to become a Cat-Hating vegetarian, and junk the TV like my mate Moss has done,. . .but they still don't believe he hasn't got a telly, and visit him every month to check. . . . . .
Don't tell me they still have the vans roaming the streets with the spinning roof-racks, to ping people without a TV license?

Might have to fabricate another VTOC machine.
When my daughter was a tiny tot, I had the same problem when living in the UK, so made up a pulsing circuit with a sports coil from my Mini Cooper. This was connected to patches of wire netting raised just off the ground alongside the pond. When the cat was seen sweeping it's paws in the water trying to catch the fish, the circuit was remotely triggered and there you have it, a VTOC (Vertical Take-Off Cat)
Even the fishing gnome seemed to have look of satisfaction on it's face, and the neighbours cat stayed their side of the fence.

Cats are a bloody waste of space as a pet,. . . .
When I lived in Brisbane, I had a dog ( named "Bluey". . . although he did NOT have ginger hair. . . . ) he was a breed known as a Queensland Blue Heeler. . . . . .evil piece of work him,. . . used to roll over on his back when he saw a neighbourhood cat, and pretend that he was friendly. . .yeah. . .right,. . .then as the cat came within striking range, he would eviscerate it within about five seconds, the evil little sod. . . . ..
Is that dog for sale Phil?
I'm frequently replacing fish in the ornamental pond in my complex and could do with his help.

Looks great! both on the ground and in the air. Well done.

Praga E114 from Chech Republic.
Get's cold there in winter, so PIC needs knees close to engine to keep warm, as he can't afford thermal underwear?
-
Fishla, looks like it won't be long before Jangles get's out and leaves you to do what he's taught you. That'll be a day in your life you'll always remember. Keep us posted.

G'day all
