Caught up with Jacques and Francoise at my hangar today. They were time limited so did not do a fly around the area, next time when they have more time. I took a packet of ‘TimTam’ biscuits and they liked them so have a couple of leftovers for later. Great to meet them and look forward to another visit another time.
Jacques is an E-props dealer in Canada so was keen to hear my positive comments about the propeller I have fitted.

My poorly worded post was to mean steel the most cost effective by far and that s/s can have failure issues that are not visible. Both will give a long in use life. Cheers.
316 gives no indication of pending failure and if used would need to be replaced in a shorter time compared to gal steel rope; (sail boat rigging, inspection and replacement intervals is a good indication).
Good to hear a few aircraft in the air today in the Pioneer Valley area West of Mackay. Jabiru, C182, two Bristelles, Savannah, Cherokee and a Nynja. Maybe a Gazelle at Turtle park? Only a couple painted on Ozrunways and Skyecho2 The sky was clear.

Started this topic to share where SkyRangers and Nynja's are flown.
First up is a bit long but shows the area between Gladstone and Makay in Queensland during May with the trip to 'The Old Station Flyin 2022'.
Grab a cuppa or coldie and hopefully enjoy.

Sometimes you need to re state what you have records wise and what you want to achieve, at times may not digest the information while on the phone. Best to email the question with any supporting info you believe is necessary and then phone so it allows the necessary time to give an answer, this considers what they have on the desk to do and what they have just one. They are busy sorting aviation stuff for us. They are for us and helping us within the rules.
The requirement for the respective 2 and 3 axis BFR's in alternate two year periods has been in existence for many years, well before the mentioned event.
I recall a friend telling me he had a bfr knocked back as he had to do specific bfr each other two years when due; I don't recall if it was 2 axis / 3 axis or his water endorsement. Only occurred in last two or so years.
Not much to go on but looking at the metal piece attached to the bottom of the duct which may be a heat shield and therefore perhaps a cracked exhaust or exhaust flange failure has allowed exhaust heat gas to directly affect the duct. Looks like higher temp degrading the right side of the duct prior to the duct structure collapsing in its softened state.
Great advice to follow about what filament is not suitable. I'm sure the supplier will get onto things, likely need to do a recall on others in service /use. Thanks for posting.
PM your phone contact when arrived, I'm in Mackay (9 hours south of Port Douglas) also check on facebook Burdekin Flyers (6 hours south of Port Douglas) and Whitsunday Flyers (8 hours drive south of Port Douglas) That will get some connections for you. Image of recent catchup two weekends ago.
Enjoyed an overnighter in the Nynja with Sandy at our favourite bbq beach site catching up pre Xmas with flying friends then an early start back to Palmyra for the Mackay Aero Club bbq event. Hazy skies due to our bush fire season. Evening was cool due to 16 Knot ESE breeze and that was welcome after the warm day.
