  1. Why would it hurt me. Why make things easy for a parasite like avdata. If I see a charge for snail mail I will deduct it from the invoice.
  2. sent to your inbox too.

  4. Why would I make it easy for them. How do pay your avdata fees
  5. It's funny you say that. Avdata have the option for emailed invoices but I am sticking to snail mail . Hopefully it inconveniences them a little bit.
  6. Spare change for you anyway.😁
  7. So what do you hope to achieve. Do you want Rotax to make a special mechanical wastegate for you. Are you intending to buy a turbo Rotax.
  8. Fantastic.
  9. Magic morning for a local flight. Overcast but the air was smooth as silk. lake Glen Maggie was like a mirrorsalad farms
  10. Yes. Nice looking machines 3 rotor instead of 2 blade teeter setup which gets rid of the danger of blade bump I think. Pretty sure I read that somewhere.
  11. Great video about mustering
  12. 1. No offence, you are clearly wrong - a mechanical wastegate will adjust inlet pressures, as atmospheric pressure reduces/increases. 2. it may be that an aircraft turbo system having to perform over such a large atmospheric pressure range, eg sea level to 35,000ft, the mechanical may not be able to equal the TCU In this speculation, I would still wonder why Rotax didnt offer a cheaper mechanical option, with say a 20,000ft ceiling. which is it skip. you appear to be contradicting yourself in your quest to prove others wrong.😁
  13. Of course. I thought there must be a reason you prefer that method ..I have not done it yet. You have.
  14. What's the new project , sounds interesting
  15. If you set it up with a scale under each wheel on level concrete it's easy . Am I missing something or are the people that have told me that's what they do are wrong
  16. This is what I have been saying. They have to have the records. There are only 3000 aircraft it can't be hard.
  17. Would have thought scales would have to go to 300 kg these days. 😁
  18. Jacks xair would have been done to get the build signed off. Raaus should have records. I have the w&b sheet from when mine was built. If I want to check it I will buy 3 sets of bathroom scales To sit it on.
  19. Yes, I agree they should have records to refer too.
  20. I told them I removed a mode c transponder once. 1.1 kg I think it was. Then I get a call asking for a new weight and balance. Transponder weighs 15 kg . Need a w&b if you change weight by more than 10 kg. I said it weighs 1.1 kg. Then got another call saying sorry we confused your transponder with a brs rocket system. Definitely didn't have a rocket in the panel.😁
  21. I am happy enough with raaus, even with its quirks. You only need to deal with the frustration at transfer time. No drama normally. Don't agree with that silly w&b request though. But as blue said, if your mate can do one for you it might save some headache. Have to wonder where the records from previous reg and build sign off are. They only have 3000 planes to look after.
  22. How bloody stupid can things get. Try ringing Michael Coates and see if he can help. It's an xair standard for christ sake. Your sitting on the c of g and it's all pre-made tubes and Dacron. The only thing you can really do is move the battery fore or aft, even that is not much change.
  23. will get onto this week. don't know anything about the serial numbers. mine are 537 and 892. dunno what the first one was. i am a serial xair buyer, each time i sell one i need another one. great fun and cheap to own.
