  1. Just googled it. They do firefighting Conversions on the Grumman's.
  2. Yes. A bit of a museum in there. I heard a company in Canada owns all the Grumman trackers. Bought for parts. Wonder what they would be using them for over there.
  3. I have been using it. The building is so high it's hard to get close enough to do any damage. May have to go to .22 shorts. Have to be careful I don't punch holes in the roof. You can get 38 ratshot , that might be worth a try.
  4. We moved here from wa.
  5. Yes they used to have shooters stationed out on the Nullarbor targeting them. Horrible things
  6. Good idea. I was thinking of some sort of PVC tube frame that I could hang off the rafters or maybe just make a t hangar to sit on the floor .
  7. Being in a WW2 hangar that is storage only except for my xair there are heaps of starlings and probably other culprits as well. Tonight I put a motion sensing owl up to see if it helps. Also thinking of hanging reflective hawk shapes as well. After any tips people may have to deter birds. Keep the plane tarped but it would be nice to have a reasonably clean area where the xair sits.
  8. In Melbourne that would be a quiet suburb😁
  9. And never ever stop in northam according to one tracks travel guide.🤣
  10. not really a windfall once you read the first one😁 the other 16 would be pretty boring.
  11. Your just jealous because we are winners. We break all the records
  12. Strange reply. The roo didn't look at our service history before he ran in front of us.😁
  13. Moral of the story is don't drive a van. They seem to be unlucky. I have driven all over remote wa and NSW never had a breakdown. Then my cruiser decided to crack the head just out of Perth . Was Easy to hitch a ride home on Albany Highway. Another time we drove my wife's diahatsu charade from Albany to Gippsland VIC for Christmas. Not one problem. We got home and hit a roo in the middle of town and smashed the front in.
  14. He bought it from manhiem , are they part of pickles group
  15. If you don't want to drive it over get your mate to remove the window rack. I have driven across the paddock many times too. Its a good drive.
  16. I would have thought you would find an I load in Perth. Long way to come here and get one. I could have helped with a parking spot but I am on the wrong side of Melbourne for you.
  17. It was a simple question, I didn't know if it was your words or not. I didn't mean to upset you.
  18. Is this cut and paste or your own thoughts. Because I have to disagree. It looks like it would be a pig to fly. Short tail boom, tailwheel . No dihedral that I can see. Pilot weight would have a large effect on c of g I think plus leaning to one side to see. No thanks. And I am a highly experienced pilot too. I have flown 3 xairs, each one a different colour.
  19. Allowing pilots with rpc into CTA will be new. An raaus reg aircraft has always been allowed if equipped with the required equipment but the pilot had to hold an RPL. I had an xair which had all the gear and the previous owner was a retired commercial pilot.
  20. I was looking at changing a titan tornado from VH to raaus . Spoke to Darren Barnfield. As long as I had the original coa it was straight forward. They only needed the original. Didn't have to get a new one
  21. But that is what rescue choppers do all the time.
  22. You have always been able to change a VH to raaus. Or is that up to 600 kg only
