    Today I was playing with the position of the ball when flying straight. I always need left rudder to keep the ball centred. Which I guess is normal. Now if I take my feet off the pedals the ball sits a about halfway over the line on the left. I took notice of the speed and it does not change. I thought I would lose some speed if it was yawing . And the other question is how are turn coordinators setup in relation to the aircraft or doesn't it matter.

    Rave valves can carbon up and cause erratic running. That's. Another reason to use the best synthetic you can . Which is amsoil from everything I have read.

    How would he not have the oil reservoir for the rotary valve. Wouldn't go for long without it 😁

    I use amsoil Interceptor. Full synthetic. It was the most highly recommended oil I could find in all the American forums.

    I would think the marap is attached to aircraft forever.

    No. Every mod has its own marap because raaus pay around $30000 per marap and get it back off several people instead of one paying for the whole thing. The advantage to them is if it's a popular marap it will keep bringing in revenue. Long after it's paid for.

    It's a fixed rate for each marap isn't it. $770 ?

    So if you have a pre 1987 thruster with 582 you can't transfer ownership and reg unless you can fit a recon 503. What about shifting them to exp. Can that be done.

    I will be staying raa unless it becomes a problem . I only fly an ultralight around my local.area here.

    Ok. I will look into again. I was told 10 hrs flying and 8 ground school. Maybe it's because I don't have cross country.

    I think it is another 10 hrs now. Plus that again in ground class. $5 or $ 6000

    Actually after sitting on an airbus for 14 hrs on Monday I do have respect for people that can spend days in an LSA with no room to move. No toilet.

    From what I understand these are casa rules which raa are now enforcing.

    Vh is an option but then you have to convert from RPC to RPL which is another few thousand. Unless you already have an RPL.

    True . But to me it would be a record if he did it on his own. Flying the whole trip with an instructor is like getting a trophy at kids sport because you were there.

    I know of a 582 Gemini that is stuck in limbo now. They won't allow the transfer.

    Since the mt beauty accident they have been going over every aircraft with a fine tooth comb when applying for ownership transfer . Thrusters were never factory fitted with a 582 and there is no maraps or stc for it. Even though they were fitted for safety reasons. 503 s are marginal with 2 people. Raa have looked the other way until now. I think they are under pressure from above.

    Nice job. Pity they can't bring out a maraps for thrusters. All 582 thrusters are now non compliant if you try to transfer the rego. Which makes all of them spare parts. I suppose experimental might be an option but then you can't train in them.
