    Did the last flight in the xair yesterday. Sold it and flew it to the new owners farm. But I do get to go and do a few flights with him while he gets used to it. A sad day but I have another aircraft to pick up later in the year.

    This is an odd request. Why don't you just go to a flying school. Where do you want to train. Pere Wilson at Tumut is a great instructor and trains in his Jabiru. Griffith Aero club have jabirus.

    The government has made a fortune the last few weeks. They are just returning some of our money.. We will still be paying $2.50 plus a litre. Pity albosleazy and Jacinta gave 15 billion to organised crime. We could use that money to offset the oil cartels. And one-track the surcharge will go down with the reduction in cost. Would be nice though.

    The price has been artificially raised to a rediculous level. You try running a fleet of trucks at $3.25 p/l. I am passing it on to my customers so they are wearing a huge increase for no reason . When you go to the supermarket and pay double maybe you will realise the effect this is having and we have seen nothing yet Industry will start closing the doors soon.

    Everyone I know that works on them does a 600 gearbox inspection. It must be in a manual somewhere otherwise they would not do it.

    The 2 912 uls at Latrobe valley aeroclub were only switched to Mogas last year. Been on avgas for years.

    albosleazy could drop the excise to help for a start. and the gst until things improve. his government sold our strategic reserve in texas in his first term i think. the absolute worst excuse for a government we have ever had. except for the alan government in vic . the 15 billion they gave to organised crims and the unions would buy a lot of fuel. snake chalmers is rubbing his hands together because this sudden windfall for him will help pay off some of the enormous debt the clowns have incerred with the stupid net zero rubbish.

    I have chosen the ignore function because I always end up in an argument with that person no matter what the topic is. 34000 posts and not once started a thread himself It's a shame someone with so much to contribute consistently chooses to post rubbish instead of sharing his knowledge. Every Phil unicomb video that has been put up gets snide comments from him. I like Phil's videos, I find them entertaining and his explanations are very clear and easy to understand. That's all I will say now let's get back on topic.

    You start going on about who employers hire and fire. The topic had no mention of commercial pilots who are on a much higher level of training and experience than the regular rec pilot. Every topic I post which I do to keep the forum going ends up in an argument with you. Then your mate above posts some Wikipedia bullshit about a hand plane For fucks sake.

    It was called recreational pilots forum before. My mistake. Cfis and instructors are commercial pilots if they get paid. Anyway I was just making the point that commercial pilots are held to Higher standards as they should be.

    Fair enough but this is a recreational pilots forum I would take it for granted that commercial pilots would be a lot better disciplined.

    It's the common theme of an experienced pilot cutting corners. Makes me glad to be a learner.

    The faa report has come out on Sam's crash 2 years ago. He skipped his preflight and payed with his life. He was in a rush to catch a commercial flight back after delivering the cougar. The sad part is he was already too late before he left.
