The point of an Incorporated Association is to be driven by its members and react to things that matter to them.

Make your mind up.

Which is it a "Limited Company" that does nothing for its members OR an "Incorporated Association is to be driven by its members and react to things that matter to them."?????

As publically promoted, the core business of RAAus is to:
• Provide Australians with a safe, accessible and cost effective form of aviation.

If you are specifically seeking advocacy, I think joining AOPA would be a better bet.

Thanks , I will look into AOPA.

If RAA us unwilling to advocate, to Government & QUANGO's, on our behalf, they are not meeting the first item of core business .

If they are not advocating at all, they are just O2 thieves.

I am unaware of any;

  • Significant advocacy on our behalf ie if they are advocating they need give us "chapter & verse" and keep us informed of progress.
  • Surveys  asking what our concerns' may be, such that RAA can pursue them with the authorities.

1. I pointed out that what you want - "to vigorously represent" its (RAA Ltd's) membership is not the purpose of a Limited Company.

2. You asked "What's the point of RAA [Ltd]?"

     I should have said "RAA Ltd was a huge    mistake." which I said               many times back when members wanted to change "because we         are not a cricket club" or the famous "no point in having a dog and barking yourself."                                                                                            An Incorporated Association is what you are looking for. If others feel the same, then change RAA back to its roots as an Incorporated Association.

Doesn't take much to find it, does it? it's the only mob that can have a go at CASA. etc.  Aircraft Owners and Pilot's Association.  RAAus is compromised. Nev

You are; it was Reynard that told you that - Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association were good 30 years ago.
