It's so easy to stand back and criticise, but WHAT IF everybody did it. ? Nev

If everyone did it, I’d be a damn fool to do any different. - Yossarian. (I think)

Mr Nev, words of sage advice but could you reference the microstring that you are referring to.

Can someone explain why new members are not getting these papers with the seven signatures.

I know one bloke that signed up yesterday and they just took his payment and nothing else. He got told he has to do a bfr and medical before he can fly. He was a flying member years ago. Same thing with someone else 2 weeks ago.

That rule applies to anyone who is not current. With RAAus you have to Be  paid up as a Member and comply with the other 2 as any pilot does. Nev

That's obvious about the bfr and medical.

You tell me how a new member is exempt from the terms and conditions sign off.

How is that MY job? You are the One running the story. I don't even know IF they are.  Nev

Why reply then . I thought you knew everything. I would have thought all members would have to acknowledge the terms and conditions , students and pilots.

I just asked a question. I always assume you will know if anyone does. And follow your own advice. Pretty f##kin rude reply to me .

It seems to be the usual RAAus inconsistencies. I was speaking to a CFI the other day who was told that he needed to get the membership application form signed in all places before taking people for a TIF.

Another CFI I spoke to hadn't even been made aware of the new forms with the new signature requirements.

Isn't driving on public roads subject to strict liability?

It certainly is, for many traffic offences. The police/road authorities only have to show you broke the law, not show that you intended to break it.

I was hunting through files looking for something and noticed this.

It seems there is a vacuum about this these days.

Maybe RAAus need to read this, a few important words spring to mind 👍
