But in saying that, he had not reads the document and was not really interested anyway as it’s not a CASA problem, which is true. he simply said it’s an RAAus problem and WE as members need to fix it? I reminded him we are only Stakeholders in a Company limited by guarantee and as such can have liability attached to us, more so than if RAAus was an Incorporated Organisation, that ship sailed years ago. I reminded the CASA man that IF many left RAAus, they could possibly simply fly unregistered, he said they will catch them and prosecute them. I did not have the heart to tell him, that CASA could not catch a cold 🤩 They staked out a friend of mine over 40 years ago for running an illegal charter service in a DC-3 and they could not catch him 🤩 you can hear them for freaking miles👍 I heard they sent a helicopter out to catch a thruster spraying crops. He landed in a paddock and waited for them to land and get out of the chopper. While they walking over he took off shot home to his own farm and put the thruster away.😂 As far as know he has never been caught either. 1 1

CASA can't JUST ignore it, because they Pushed it. . Nev I did not recommend, but made him aware of a consequential scenario. Sometimes people in authority must accept realism 👍 1

I reminded him CASA are the overarching authority, that went nowhere, I reminded him this has all come out of allegations An RAAus person mislead a Coronial Enquiry, CASA man would not comment. I came close to telling him that CASA need to do their f….. job and keep an eye on Part 149 organisations under CASA responsibility. I am too old to start sh1tstorms over a phone. But IF he was across a table from me, different story…… 2

Thruster88 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Can someone explain in simple terms what the problem is with signing the RAAus stuff. I signed because I just want to fly. Nothing RAAus do or fail to do will cause me to crash. 4 1
BurnieM Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago It is mostly to scare your family off sueing RAAus if the worst happens. Whether these T&Cs are actually binding will depend on future legal action. 1 2 1

When the solicitor I’ve been going to for 40 years cares more about me, than what’s in my wallet because he didn’t charge me for the hour of his time I wasted on this rubbish. I’d be more inclined to listen to him, than anybody else. 1

I can stay with raaus and accept that I am on my own it anything happens and that is probably the same now anyway. 1

I am enquiring IF I can fly in West Africa, but I don’t think I can on an RPL only a PPL? I have not dug deep on an RPL, maybe I should do so as I have been in SAAA for 4 years, along with EAA in the U.S. because I have a big interest in FAA FAR Part 103? 1

Nev Some of the RAAus Stakeholders will always be the ‘Vanguard’ even if the organisation is not. If RAAus folded tomorrow? There will still be torchbearers to carry on🤩
