  1. Isn't driving on public roads subject to strict liability?
  2. https://interestingengineering.com/military/china-engine-mach-6-speeds Sounds like a quantum leap in fighter design.
  3. I renewed over the phone and they only wanted the [exorbitant] $335. No questions just give us your money.
  4. This is aircraft quality with friction lock.

    Crazy!
  6. Was built by a gent named Brian Gabriel (dec). Nice job but not sure that he finished the wings. He also built the prototype Supermarine Spitfire for which Jabiru built the 8 cylinder 4400. This proved unsuccessful and was followed by (I think) a v8.
  7. Rushians have developed the Sarmat, many hypersonic vehicles and Posiedon nuclear submarine. Fearsome weapons the west has no defence against. They didn't make the F22 or F35 pigs. Winning against NATO Zand EU proxies in Ukraine. Have to see in the washup
  8. They obviously don't need to make it to 100 hourly. They are single use kamikaze devices. Anyone out there reuse paper coffee cups?
  9. This has been sold.
  10. Great prop with aluminium spinner to suit Aeropower or similar engine. Hang on wall for great effect. $300

  12. Still have the Thatcher, Dean?
  13. And (possibly) that question is, does fr24 use primarily transponder signals to track most targets (not ADSB?) as I believe from observation.
  14. I would say that the site is provided (very generously) by our host for the use and enjoyment of its members. No one has exclusive rights to a thread. As mentioned earlier, a little thread drift keeps it lively, interesting and inclusive. IMHO
  15. Anybody have information on any jailtime done for ano infringement?
  16. Nothing to do with the justice system... immigration, done wrong has extreme consequences.
  17. Nev, I agree with your reasoning. Walking with my German sister in law one day we saw a local park in terrible condition due to gross littering. When she said, wouldn't happen at home,I asked why. She said because of the 2000 mark fine! No graffiti in China or Vietnam. But at what cost you may ask? Same with breach of ano's. Given the rather exclusive membership of pilot communities (incl lawyers) I wonder if it would work (jailing them?) Rgds and happy new year, Don Sorry, thought it was facthunter, still applies Turbo.
  18. Most light twins have sufficient power on one engine to fly you directly to the site or of the accident.
  19. Jailing for infringement of ano is a bit harsh I'd think.
  20. Not necessarily as long as no passengers.
  21. I think the Dromadier (? spelling) had the same engine leading to modifying with turbines.
  22. Typical upper class airline captain (grin).
  23. Years ago, a friend hired his Mooney to an RAAF pilot. Taking off from Wagga following a Herc, apparently not waiting for wake turbulence to abate, he rolled at ground level, only saved by the Chrome/moly roll cage provided free to every Mooney occupant.
