Sadly... Solomon posted a while ago that the machine was destroyed in a fire... fortunately without burning the house down!

Prophetic words from Tony Hayes (RIP) in 2006...Unless there were 'follow on' changes between the GA-55 and the GA-912, the wing tank details should be similar.Many of the GA-55's were kit built, usually registered 28-XXXX, so there should be some plans out there somewhere?For those following and wanting to know the Lightwing series a little better, I had a post a few years back describing the variations;

The GA-912S should be the ultimate Lightwing, pity it was never certified and put into production......

And... I will say... surprised that someone who claims to have been bullied would become the bully. I can't really get my head around this.Bit of anger management planned in the near future, Windsor? -
Are you referring to the bold type?Bit of anger management planned in the near future, Windsor? Not angry Macca... Just perplexed.

This is exactly the intention of these threads Macca. Seems to have worked pretty damn effectively.I think not, Turbo, they captured attention as they were designed to do and initiated a firther thought process which in itself is valuable. If not for this site and these threads there would be no "attention" being given to the problems at Ra-Aus.

you should have taken the blue one Don...

Would happily. Would rather have never known.

The reason they get away with it is this...
If this is true (and if you look into it you WILL reach this conclusion) it makes EVERYTHING you thought was meaningful in your life a lie... It means when you go in to kiss your Kids (or Grandkids) goodnight you can never look them in the eye and tell them "It is all going to be OK" because you will know it is a lie...
This is a very heavy burden to carry... I WISH I DIDN'T KNOW MYSELF.
It doesn't suit the world view we have spent our whole lives building up... our whole belief system. It is easier to believe the lie than to face the painful truth.

Interesting how the Democrat marketing strategy has worked so well on so many people.
10 years ago to suggest the invasion of Iraq due to WMD was a scam would get you shouted out of a room and declared a "Terrorist Sympathiser"... Heck I called it within weeks of 9/11... it was obvious to anyone with a grain of common sense...
Today it is common knowledge to anyone who takes the time to look...
10 years ago the Australian Wheat Board Scam was the same....
Today it is common knowledge...
I guess this sort of BS it OK?
It will all come out in the wash in time...

It WAS official US Airforce Policy to issue Go/No Go Pills and is extremely well documented. Their have been court marshals based upon pilots getting too trigger happy and blaming the Pills.... US Airforce spokespeople have defended the "Official" practise publicly... It has been described as the "Gold Standard for Anti-Fatigue" by US Airforce Colonel Peter Demitry, Chief of Airforce Surgeion Genearals Science and Tech Division....Yes but you seemed to imply (based on a TV show) this was official USAF policy / action by their superior officers "they were given....". That's where the myth starts as opposed to "some took...." which some most probably did, lots of junkies about. Thankfully you say they kicked out the ones they found.Where did you get this idea from Gnarly Gnu? They don't hide it.

Calculations were in fact carried out for a simulated aircraft collision, but at the time of the design the much smaller Boeing 707 was only just coming into service, and no one could forsee the huge increase of the Jumbo in both weight and fuel capacity.
No Jumbos were involved TP. Beoing 767 and 707 are near identical in weights and fuel load...

It makes me feel sick to know this and look at my daughter....

YOU DON'T WANT THE TRUTH...
Once you realize (and if you look with an open mind you WILL) that this was an inside job... you won't forget. I wish I didn't. It wasn't just GW Bush... What about the Australian Wheat Board. Anyone really believe our Government didn't know?
-
Any chance the " enquiry into staff conditions of service" is anything to do with the "rumour" that a former employee was given almost $100k to relocate their household?
Anyone heard anything?

Not cool Adam. Not at all cool.
If your child's mum says no... IT IS NO. Don't be silly and muddy things with Lawyers etc
Suck it up and think of your kids.

It was confirmed by a current Board Member...
Registration Update:
Hi Guys,
I have some more information.
Apparently the office stopped sending out renewals when our authority was removed. That means there is a large backlog, and a real risk for those who don't check their expiry date of flying illegally.
-
Not a very complimentary description of the Pilots actions in this crash... I won't call it an accident because it wasn't if the press report and the grape vine is any indication.
This is more tragic for those poor kids who witnessed this IMO.
-
Has Ra-Aus itself officially informed the membership that they are not sending out renewal notices? Or is that not true? It came from a standing Board Member.
-
The aircraft in the photo appears to have a tailwheel... Not sure it is a C182.
-
Thanks for the update John. It is truly appreciated.REGISTRATION UPDATEHi Guys,I have some more information.
Apparently the office stopped sending out renewals when our authority was removed. That means there is a large backlog, and a real risk for those who don't check their expiry date of flying illegally.
Is it just me or does this seem quit bizarre to read Johns words after the update on the Ra-Aus Website???
Perhaps not outright disinformation but CERTAINLY NOT THE IMPRESSION THIS UPDATE PRESENTS IMO.
Aircraft Registration Update 14/12/12December 14, 2012 | opsassist
The aircraft registration issue is being resolved, albeit slowly. The backlog of aircraft which have no identified issues on file has been dealt with thanks to a huge effort from the staff and the volunteer members who have been assisting for the past two weeks.
This leaves approximately 60 files that require as a minimum, a photo of the MTOW placard through to a Type Certificate from a foreign country. Where issues can be handled by phone and email we have both staff and volunteers contacting the members and advising them as to what is required so that the registration can proceed.
