  1. It seems you can't buy the Honeywell any more. ( So if it fails ). It apparently has the 1/8 th ntp thread. From what I can see buy the the cheap vdo sender that suits my engine and loom. Then remote fit on the firewall. These kits are available in the USA. I would prefer to buy in Australia. Does anyone know availability in Australia. Lyndon
  2. My engine has a honey well oil pressure sender. It has two wires. I'm presuming an earth or a power supply is the extra one. ( my kit only has one wire in the loom ). Secondly will my gauge be suitable for this sender. I see a lot of issues with leaking senders etc. So keep this or just buy the correct sender new. Thoughts Lyndon
  3. Can I confirm it's a m8 x1 thread in the carbs. Lyndon
  4. Look like the right one ??
  5. I have all that. Just no carb inlets.
  6. Great will get onto that now Lyndon
  7. Regulator and starter relay. Any experience with what to buy and more importantly what not to buy . I'm in need of these two items. Lyndon
  8. Mike. [email protected] Thanks Lyndon
  9. Thanks for the input. But I can't open that file Lyndon
  10. For example. I have the wrong connectors for my head temp sensors. Kit is for a Rotax 912. What is the go. Modify what connecters I have have or replace ?? Lyndon
  11. I'm wiring up the engine. Seems a bit of a guessing game with my manual. Anyone have a link to some thing with more detail. Lyndon
  12. I would like to praise Reg. If anyone thinking of building a plane take into consideration the after sales back up. I can only say that his knowledge and promtness and range of parts etc on the shelf is exemplary. It's a great thing having that kind of back up in Australia Lyndon
  13. I take it this is what I'm after for spacers/washer for my hiem joints Lyndon If so I'm one short. Also I see where they attach to the flaps the book says you can swap the special washers for standard an960-5
  14. I knew as soon as you mentioned those little washers / spacers. I had seen them and wondered what they are for. Went back to the manual and yep it says fit the an - 5 washers. Which I did and which don't work. Even looked in parts manual and it doesn't list those nice little washers. Guess its something they added along the way. Glad I mentioned it and even more glad I got an answer. Its a pretty important part of the plane. Lyndon
  15. Its what I call em. Been a standing joke for as long as I can remember. But on serious note I know what is not right. Yep it's something I have done wrong. Thanks Lyndon
  16. Well that will be another day. Moving that compaired to working under the plane in the hole will be a breeze. I have noticed that with full flap my alerons are not as smooth as compared with zero flap. I've had a look and fiddled with it all. Seems like the hymen joints are at there max and complaining somewhat. Lyndon
  17. I'm after some fuel inlets for my carbs. Any thoughts. Really don't want new as prices are just over the top . A straight brass fitting would be fine but I believe its not a gas thread it's metric. Lyndon
  18. Thanks for that. Jumping ahead what limits the elevator travel. I have fitted all the controls now. Quite an engineering marvel. All works perfectly and it fits Lyndon
  19. Gday. Does anyone have a used set lying around. I bought my engine used and I don't have them. They are way over priced new. Happy to pay a reasonable price. Thanks Lyndon Ps I couldn't find a sell and buy in the forums.
  20. Do I fit bolts and lock nuts here. ?? Or is pretty much good for travel as is. I can't find anything in the manual. Lyndon
  21. I was thinking that. Pretty sure there won't be a next time but. Lyndon
  22. Well I riveted the right side. Bolted the left. With the nuts loose I placed the flapperon in position. Then did the nuts up. I couldn't rivet it as I only have the pneumatic one. If I did have an issue I would have a hell of time drilling them out. This way it can be removed easily. Well as easy as it will ever be.I now need a day off for back to recover Lyndon
  23. Ok will give it a go. The rivit gun actually fit ??. I will limber up and give it a go. Thanks Lyndon Rick the rod arrived. Thanks again
  24. I have a question. I'm working in the hole under the plane and have just done all my fuel lines. I must admit this is a lot of fun ?? Oh to be young and fit. My manual states to rivet the brackets on. This is easy without the flapperon unit and impossible with it in place. Before I go and rivet the two brackets ?? They will I take it flex enough for the flapleron unit to be squeezed in between the two brackets. Thanks Lyndon
  25. Amazing. To begin with I thought something was wrong
