  1. Like then asap as I want to get my plane off the bench onto it's wheels. It looks like I need a lot and there is not enough in the kit. The bench is taking up to much room and needs to go. I will call first thing Monday and they can overnight them. Thanks Lyndon
  2. Anyone know where I can get some of these an03-5 bolts in Adelaide. Postage is very high on the net for a few dollars worth of bolts. Lyndon
  3. Is it a good idea to fit the control assembly at this stage before I get it on its wheels. I see there is some fuel stuff in here as well. I have it on its side so I can paint the underside so it's easy to access at the moment or is ok to do when it's on the wheels. Thanks Lyndon
  4. Great thanks. I'm fitting the leg now. But of work getting it to fit so it moves up and down. I have the upper bearing correct I take it. The manual shows quite clearly the square plate on the bottom of the race and then again on top. I have it on the bottom. Thanks Lyndon
  5. Mark. I read about you finding these washers that were hidden for the mixing assembly. Do you have a pic of what they look like. I'm at this stage. Thanks Lyndon
  6. I have bought the upgrade for the front leg. Does this replace the existing part on each side or added to the std ones ??? Thanks Lyndon
  7. Holes in the wrong spot ???. Any suggestions rather than just redrill and has anyone had the same ??. As you can see the front leg is of set to the front. But have a row in the rear on the plastic Bush and the long angular but the plate that goes under the plastic Bush has these holes in the front ??? Thoughts ?? Thanks Lyndon
  8. Sorry for putting it in the wrong place. Not the roof. The skin that goes under the two front bars from the cage. It covers the cabin leg room. I will post some pics when I get home. I take it from your comments I can assemble all the cabin and still have no issues bolting the wings on. Thanks Lyndon
  9. I think the load on those bolts is shear and the body washers would do very little of anything. Lyndon
  10. The manual shows fitting the cage. Then I find it hard to squeeze the top cabin skin in past the cage with out damage ???. Does anyone do it the other way around ???. Secondly. My plane will be stored for a time before going to an airfield for the wings to be attached. I would like to do as much as I can in my workshop before this. I see the manual shows some parts that can't be fitted before the wings. In reality what is the minimum I have to leave off to fit the wings. I do propose to pre paint all parts ?? Thanks Lyndon

    The bushes that move on the out riggers on the mixer. Should they be greased ???. Eg they operate the rods for the alerons etc. Lyndon

  14. Does the mixing assembly just fit on two bushes behind the cabin. If so I take it it moves ???. Manual seems to state this but seems odd. Lyndon
  15. I have been in touch with Reg. He tells me to cut 3 mm off the the spacers and leave the circlips in. I still don't understand what the spacers do. That are on the outside so they don't adjust the wheels position and surely the locking nut has a better seat on it than a thin spacer . Buggered if I know. Lyndon
  16. One last question. My manual and parts list does not list what goes in here. From what I see from pics is cup head set screws with no washers ???

  18. Circlips removed. Steel washers fits nicely with felt seals under them. Lots of thread left and I can pre load the bearings Lyndon
  19. Ok I have a circlip stopping each race from seating or to be precise this is what it seats on. Thus my bearings are 4.6 mm wider apart as each clip is 2.3 mm in width. I'm presuming this is why I'm running out of thread for the nut with the spacer and also the outside washer does not have enough purchase to be seated properly on the axle in lieu of the end with the thread which is smaller diameter. Wtf. I know they are golf cart wheels ??. Am I just unlucky getting this mistake or am missing something. Lyndon
  20. Ok I have a had a look. The races are not seated because it looks like a circlip is in the rim for the race to seat on. Removing this is the go I think to give me space . Lyndon
  21. The bearing is perfectly seated on the axle. That's one sure thing I can see. Will look at the rims. Seems odd as all three rims are the same. Maybe the same bloke knocked them all in not quite right. I take it the spacer is because you run of thread to preload the bearing. I have the opposite problem. Lyndon

  23. No the races don't seem seated in the rims. But as they were already fitted I can't see if there is a step there. I have tapped them and they don't want to move. If your talking about the bearing. Yes it's seated properly. Lyndon
  24. There is no way the axle is long enough to fit the wheels. The races are seated properly on the rims. The out side washer which is the same diameter as the axle doesn't even fit. Just sits on the thread as the axle is just not long enough. Clearly I'm missing something. Lyndon
