    I am not suggesting that LAMEs are a cure all nor to be mandated but they are a resource that could be used where appropriate. Pilots can’t fly all aircraft and LAMEs can’t service all aircraft. I have experienced ordinary servicing by LAMEs, L1s and L2 s as well. You can can only regulate so much.

    It would be reasonable for RAA to create a technical membership for LAMEs at a reduced annual fee. This would allow a greater access to skilled services for the members who cannot effectively carry out servicing. As with GA instructors who have only a few RAA BFRs it is not economical to retain their RAA membership to provide this service.

    Thanks, I have the operating manual but it does not have instructions for adding airport locators. I have added waypoints but would like the listing as an airport.

    I have just bought another aircraft and it has a Garmin 695 fitted. The data base does not contain minor airfields such as YKTN. Can a member tell me how to add airfields to the device or give me a reference to where this is detailed? Thanks.

    Can anyone guide me to a list of the different staff at RAAUS with their area/s of responsibility. Today I spoke to a person (very helpful), from RAAUS but did not note their name. I cannot find a list to clear this up.

    In my mind the advertisement could be correct with reference to the suitably equipped aircraft. Maybe it should also have made mention of the pilot being suitably qualified.

    When you swung the compass on the line the compass would have come towards your hand due to centripetal force but however it didn’t due to centrifugal force. Centripetal means toward the centre does it not?
