  1. Any advice on the necessity / tools / process of pressure testing the cooling, fuel, oil systems?
  2. Not a good look for CASA. Approving a flight which they knew was going to land on the racetrack when the only possible direction to land in took the plane into a no fly area.
  3. You don't need the deci- and centi- words. Works better just with the thousands. 1 litre =1000 millilitres. 1 kilometre = 1000 metres. 1 metre = 1000 millimetres.
  4. You pay extra for that.
  5. Jeez he'll be tired when he gets to takeoff speed.
  6. The prop is technically clear...
  7. This seems like a viable product - given they have $9b in pre orders for 2000 aircraft, the market thinks so anyway. Not a true electric as it uses a small turbine to recharge the battery. Home | Electra.aero WWW.ELECTRA.AERO
  8. Are you required to tell them?
  9. Beautiful aircraft. I love the look of the Ryans, especially polished aly.
  10. Question for the brains trust. What type of tubing can be (or is generally) used for brake line - and where can I get it? As per the photos my U/c is off a Sav. There's a threaded fitting which looks to hold a tube about 6mm od, around 5mm I'd. Marking on the stub of tube I pulled off the cylinder says PA12 DIN 73378. It appears to have a flange at the end but I'm not sure if manufactured that way or formed by the clamping action. Been googling but no luck. Any thoughts?
  11. Brilliant. Add a bit about Ian as the founder and how he runs the whole thing out of the goodness of his heart, and you could ship that straight to RA-AUS.
  12. I think we need an essay.
  13. I think there's been a bit of a problem with both this site and Social Australia for half the day, I don't think it's yours. And ignore Microsoft.
  14. There's half a dozen Trump threads over in Social Australia, guys. Thanks Ian for taking those steps!
  15. Wouldn't there be a rolling group of say 40-80yo's making the bulk of members? So as people fall off the perch on one end, more 40 / 50 / 60yo's get to a financial situation where they can start living a life long dream.
  16. I reckon the skydivers hanging from their seatbelts were calling him f...... Luke.
  17. How did he miss the panels behind but not go over the edge in front?
  18. I assume there's still a fair amount of runway after the piano keys before you hit the sticky stuff. So if someone landed on it, they were landing very short.
  19. Why hasn't every runway that takes RPT got this? https://australianaviation.com.au/2025/03/queenstown-completes-installation-of-aircraft-stopping-safety-beds/
  20. I like that they were so optimistic about it that they installed retractable gear.
  21. Have a look at @Kyle Communications build logs, he did the four hose/tap into one manifold method and I believe he's very happy with it.
  22. Hi Bob, I got my 8GTH from Hardy Spicer. They may have a NZ presence under "Spicer" - not sure if it's the same company or not.
  23. More on the story. Bloody great job by the shearer. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-03-06/avalon-airport-man-firearm-incident/105019482
