Hi Brendan, I replaced the original 1988 skins in 2015. The aircraft is always hangared. Light is the enemy. Six months in the open can make skins not pass the bettsometer test.
Getting replacement skins for Thrusters is a problem now that wingtec has closed.

i looked up the inductive sensor air gap and it said if the gap exceeds 1 mm the tacho will have erratic readings. that may be the problem because i guessed it without feeler gauges.
I didn't fly yesterday but got to watch the xair take off.
It was another magnificent winters day. Will fly next weekend weather permitting.

At Latrobe valley a couple of years back they were down to one raaus trainer for a while. Tecnam was out of action. Almost every student changed to RPL and the cost was not much more than an RPC except for ASIC card which is mandatory.
