  1. the new ceo of bom was on the radio yesterday and explained the figures. the 96 million has been the known cost the whole time. the 4 mill was only part of the total. i didn't pay a lot of attention but as usual the media sensationalised the story.
  2. join the club. my xair is easy to see. looks likje a big jaffa
  3. i think we are on 2 different pages . i pay the account by bpay no matter how it arrives.
  4. took me 4 years. once i found a good instructor that wasn't just there to build hours things progressed quickly. every time an instructor left , the gap in training would put me back to square one. you need consistency.
  5. i don't want to go off topic for long but since it has been raised. what is the lifespan of aluminium seaplanes that live in salt water like the sydney seaplanes. i imagine each annual would have a rigorous inspection but there must be places where you can't get too.
  6. I think a bloke that fastidious and also in the marine industry might know how to look after his aircraft.
  7. How
  8. Why would it hurt me. Why make things easy for a parasite like avdata. If I see a charge for snail mail I will deduct it from the invoice.

  10. Why would I make it easy for them. How do pay your avdata fees
  11. It's funny you say that. Avdata have the option for emailed invoices but I am sticking to snail mail . Hopefully it inconveniences them a little bit.
  12. Spare change for you anyway.😁
  13. So what do you hope to achieve. Do you want Rotax to make a special mechanical wastegate for you. Are you intending to buy a turbo Rotax.
  14. Magic morning for a local flight. Overcast but the air was smooth as silk. lake Glen Maggie was like a mirrorsalad farms
  15. Yes. Nice looking machines 3 rotor instead of 2 blade teeter setup which gets rid of the danger of blade bump I think. Pretty sure I read that somewhere.
  16. Great video about mustering
  17. 1. No offence, you are clearly wrong - a mechanical wastegate will adjust inlet pressures, as atmospheric pressure reduces/increases. 2. it may be that an aircraft turbo system having to perform over such a large atmospheric pressure range, eg sea level to 35,000ft, the mechanical may not be able to equal the TCU In this speculation, I would still wonder why Rotax didnt offer a cheaper mechanical option, with say a 20,000ft ceiling. which is it skip. you appear to be contradicting yourself in your quest to prove others wrong.😁
  18. Of course. I thought there must be a reason you prefer that method ..I have not done it yet. You have.
  19. What's the new project , sounds interesting
  20. If you set it up with a scale under each wheel on level concrete it's easy . Am I missing something or are the people that have told me that's what they do are wrong
  21. This is what I have been saying. They have to have the records. There are only 3000 aircraft it can't be hard.
