facthunter Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Now you have the reason why People don't reply to my Posts. The Miscreants have now ALL self identified themselves( I'm NOT including Turbs. This will be the Kiss of death for you Probably. Sorry). Clearly these Bullies like Playing some kind of SICK Game at other's expense. It's time it stopped. Nev 1
skippydiesel Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Its seems to me, that taking time to look at ourselves, in the metaphorical mirror, might just deliver some insight into how others see us😈 1
facthunter Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I've pointed out many time that this IS a Public Forum, and Ian Funds it and OWNS it. Nev
facthunter Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago A fellow( Surname Flannigan) went though training on a Commonwealth scholarship at the same time I did at RNAC and he went Commercial + AG rating and I went the Instructor Path. He ended up flying a CERES. (Converted Wirraway) spraying Cotton very low at Night. A patch of warm air put him into the ground and he cartwheeled, hitting his forehead on the Panel and severing his achilles tendon. He got over a Km from the Plane. He was quite a character and individualist and ended up running a Mental Home and did OK.. He went through Newcastle TECH High a Year Behind me. Another croppy I knew was Neil Simpson. Bit older with Avro's. Nev

facthunter Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago You can reflect on it. . How others see you is a Lot in their Hands. A pilot of some standing I knew once, said Everyone is Projecting their Image. That must be where I went wrong.. Nev 2
facthunter Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago When I need your advice I will ask for it. You never let up do you? It's NOT funny. Nev
JMLIS Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago With a pilots license you can have a lot of very enjoyable times. Back in 1965 a Piper Colt cost six pounds two shillings and sixpence an hour ($12.25). In the following 61 years I have been lucky enough to fly more than 50 different types of aircraft and have owned, had shares in or had control over ten of them. One of those for over forty years until the flood waters went over the hangar gutters! Powered fixed wing, sail planes, helicopters, paragliders and parachutes. Still enjoy it as much as I did at 17 years old (Not quite up to para things these days). It can be expensive if you are silly enough to annalise it. At an average of 90 hours per year at say a conservative $200 of todays money per hour, that is very close to 1.1 million of self funded flying pleasure. Would not miss it for quids! 1 1
