  1. I thought I had told you enough.. I can not put names or towns in the information..I think I have said too much already, the mechanics of the happenings is all there, as I see it people names and town name are missing.

Happyflyer...... I will not give any names.

I thought the PPL information was enough for you.

    Regards

    KP

Come on Keith...it isn't a secret. It was in the news wasn't it.

  2. I loved it...because I really love reading the magazine and it isn't available in newsagents any longer to non members. "They" tell you guys (you members) that it costs too much to make the mag available to the public in paper form...so maybe it is a plus for the organization because it is advertising that you will never otherwise get.

The only down side I see...is that you will need a "decent" internet connection...and I am getting the feeling most don't. We are lucky here to have our NBN...even with it turned down it is performing wonderfully and reliably...I would have hated to try to read the online mag at our old ADSL2 average speeds. I imagine this will resolve itself without too much effort soon enough...even the loony right who voted against the NBN at the last election are learning the hard way and I am sure won't do it again...lol

  3. If any aviator wants to know a 100% accurate forecast for tomorrow & into the future as accurate as the BOM can forecast, then here it is right now as follows:1. It may rain.

    2. it may be overcast.

    3. It may be fine with 8/8 visibility.

    4. It may be cloudy.

    5. It may be windy.

Take your pick of the above forecast items, or alternatively go outside when you get out of bed in the morning & stick your index finger on your right hand up in the air(not up behind you) & take immediate notice what is happening in front of you.031_loopy.gif.e6c12871a67563904dadc7a0d20945bf.gif

That is not a "forecast"...its just more waffle...

  4. Here is an honest account of the story...

"The action, led by members of the technical union Professionals Australia, has called on the Bureau of Meteorology forecasters to deny weather information to commercial flights carrying politicians to and from Canberra airport, provided safety is not compromised."

  6. Hello AviatorsThis is my first post...

I am the current owner of Long Ez G-MUSO and was fascinated to stumble across this thread. I'm not the tornado pilot, he was a previous owner. I only have about 400hrs on various types of aircraft.

I fly out of Seething Airfield EGSJ with a 800m runway and airborne at the 550 mark. It lands much shorter if the speed is right. Sitting high in the seat with my head about an inch from the canopy as recommended I find the visibility fine on final, even with a high angle of attack. My first few flights in MUSO were scary/exciting as I didn't really have any instruction, just a little bit in of back seat time in another LE and the POH. But over all I think its fairly EZ to fly and I agree with everything EZPilot said. Its was just a little intimidating at first.

I should have my display authority on it completed soon and will display it initially at the Seething Charity Air Day this summer. http://seething-airfield.com/airday.php

I love flying this Rutan designed plane and it ticks all the boxes for me, and I would really like to chat with docjell sometime about the build of this great aircraft.

    Thanks

    Dan G

    Awesome first post.

  7. Ahhhh those tricky people of the press.Looking real close at that image of all the bits flying every where and looking at other images on FB i have concluded that with the Spitfire passing behind that the wreckage must be from one of those RC large scale buzz bombs going in after being 'shot down' by the Spitfire.

    It looks like wood splinters...

  8. The first "flown" homebuilt aircraft I ever saw was a BEDE-4. This was a long time ago when I was a kid. I clearly recall the verdict from the adults wasn't complimentary...and there was much discussion about Jim Bede's business practices...and the fact that the tailwheel on this one had collapsed...and appeared to have been just riveted onto the rear fuselage as an after thought...

To go with that I have read some rather exciting flight reports from BEDE owners...

My take... is that there is a fine line that seperates positive and negative public opinion... and how bloody lucky was Burt Rutan to have avoided this. I think experimental aircraft back then used to truly be "EXPERIMENTAL"...and so was the industry.

  9. It took a little while, but when I thought about it and then considered it again while I thought about it, and then thought about it again and although I was being rushed it was easy. Aye?

You didn't think much about anything... or in fact go to the link above and read any of the policies of the SPP. If you had you would know just how silly that question is... and that the SPP has a solution. It is about "Sustainability"...not stagnation...or indeed repeating ad nauseam the same failed remedies driven by a flawed ideology of the past.

  10. But really, who's going to vote for him?

I need to know more but based upon his population stance I would. The Sustainable Population Party has been around for a few years now and I have supported them as much as possible since then...it doesn't have his name on it but was founded due to his research on population...
