But, but! I gonna go to bed now...

Actually, Ditdot suddenly had a brilliant Idea:idea: Ahvalocks, nah! let's use the Capitans Jaberrutaa this time and fly over there... slap some ski's on the feet and away we go............ then pick up the radical 22 and have a whale of time on the way back.............
-
Ah... good O'l Tubz even remembered to take a few pic's of our adventures, very thoughtful!
Thinking back now, I've left me R22 sitting over yonder under those Aurora lights...

Have you got enough fuel in your Evan-rude Tubblet? so we can go an get it too!

-
You generally hold the stick back on tail wheel acft to give better ground handling when taxiing... puts weight down on the wheel so it makes it turn, rather than just skid... obviously you get the tail up on take off as soon as you can, so then all you've got is rudder to keep you going straight...Is this holding-the-stick-back applicable to all planes or only to the Jabiru range? If you do a nice three point tail wheel landing, you generally have the stick all the way back anyway on touch down, so you basically keep it there.

That's right! I reckon they did that so that it doesn't look "too" obvious on utube... your average back yard fella wouldn't know the difference between an incipient and full spin!Who's kidding who about the incipient bit? That was a full on spin and I agree with Turbo, nick his certificateMaybe the guy doesn't really know that your not supposed to do that sort of thing in RAA stuff? because he wouldn't be so open on putting it up on a world wide video site!

G'day Stanzahero! (nice name!) Welcome on board...

There's another Horsham pilot around here flying the J120 also, goes by the name of BecM.
It's great to see you enjoying yourself, A bit stressful for the first little while, but it definitely gets better!
Have Fun, and Fly Safe.

Congrat's on your solo... I hope you enjoyed it! 'cause you'll never get that chance again...!:thumb_up:had first solo on Monday. -
Let us know if your still having trouble Dave, and I'll see if I can guide you through it....
-
I reckon!:thumb_up:Well Done. It's a great feeling to have them out of the way isn't it??Thanks guys/gals:clap:

Speaking of rocks.....
........there hard!!........:ah_oh:
-
5 mile radius for me.... so I basically go from one edge to the other = 10 miles
I don't really think it matters if your in or out of sight.... because in the Drifter, you get out of sight pretty quick, especially if you climb up to 5000'!
-
C'mon Turbz! Get real..... The R22 is just a figment of DotDash's imagination...

Actually I think Good O'l Tubz thought of that one.... So I was forced into it, just like you were forced into the tartic... (To Stay for the time being..!)
Hey Tubz, just one thing.... did you remember to put oil in the fuel before you left..??
-
Yeehaa! Past the Human Factors exam with flying colours.....
So, now I've got all the exams out the way, and only 1.2hrs more of solo time, and I can go for a flight review (or test) not sure what there called...........
Ps. What a Stupid exam!!
-
G'day Delta... and Welcome abroad... (No it ain't a spelling mistake!)
What are the coolest things here?? .... well we've basically got everything to do with flying, one way or the other... so if you just go through it all on the tool bar to the left, it'll keep you busy all day long...

Or even better still, if you've got a question about anything... fire away and there'll be a handful of answers thrown at you...! Sometimes quicker than you think!
You said your nearly ready to take off, so what's that involving... like what aircraft are you doing it in? are you doing a RAA ticket or PPL?
Have Fun... and just Remember: Take off is Optional, but Landing is Mandatory! (Newton's laws says so!)
Cheers

uitgegleden schijf......!Terve tuloa

Now all he had to do was render the blubber.....
..... and fix the rudder...........!
Just then Mclocks heard a noise, and looking around he spotted good o'l ditdot coming straight for him... so he quickly runs and hides behind whats left of the recycled beer can, thinking that I was gonna eat him for dinner! but just when ahlocks heart rate had exceeded it's Vne, dotdash puts the R22 carefully down at its feet.............

G'day Juke, and Welcome on board...

Have Fun, and join In...
Ps. Migraine headaches... sounds like you need a chiropractor!;) your neck is probably just bent the wrong way...

G'day Philip,
It's good to here from other aviation enthusiasts from around the world...:thumb_up
If you like, you can put some pictures in the photo gallery of the different scenery/aircraft etc... over there, I'm sure there will be quite a few interested to see what it's like...
Welcome along as well, it's good to have you...
Have Fun, and Fly Safe:thumb_up:

Surfers Paradise...expensive...don't leave home without one.
P.S. Still trying to cook something up to get out of the 'tartic mess...

Ahhhh:idea: the light suddenly switched itself on... I don't have a visa card, so it didn't even dawn on me....
But I agree with you, expensive, I've only ever been there about once I thunk. I stay out in the bush, where every thing's dirt cheap, well suppose to be anyway....:confused:I'll drop on by in the Radical 22, and give you a tow out.... how's that sound?

But first, I'll ....are... put a bit of lead in the seals first....! (happened to have the shot gun with!) just don't tell the conservationests (or whatever they call 'em selves) 'cause I could end up in HOT water....! which is not ideal in the tartic...
-
I agree...!The hardest thing I find in any sim is trim; instead of trim taking the strain of the controls but leaving them where they are, you have to slowly allow the stick to go back to neutral while you apply trim. Very annoying. -
confused tailwinds with headwinds when revising ETAs is not Lovak's problem...;)
No it ain't... 'cause a head wind blue:confused: him backwards into the tartic where he has quite a significant problem on his hands....
Heh! heh! VISA.... Surfers.. Oh so true..
I've lost the plot here..........
I did come up with "Very In Significant Aussie" Surfers.....:ah_oh: -
Good on ya John... You sound like your progress is about the same as mine. 2hrs more solo, with a check flight or two in between:thumb_up:Passed my BAK today. Still need to do 2 more hours solo before I go for my Pilot Certificate. -
NEXT - As a licenced Meteorologist (you don't get that in RAA) Turbo had been bemused by northerlies coming from the south and southerlies coming from the north, but he realised that it was after all, Queensland that dotDash was talking about, and some strange things happened up there when they got on the cane juice, so it was just quite possible that one of the neighbours had wired the windmill overnight just to see what would happen to dotDash when he tried to take off......
As a non Licensed Meteorologist, I looked up the Licensed Meteorologists website and confirmed what I first anticipated was the correct fornomonon (new way of speeling it!)
And Yes I was talking about Sunny Q, and wagga flogga, And it only confirmed what I'd already thought... that mexicans are a bit backward:confused: eerr... in wind direction that is....

I used to use Mum's lino floor as a kneading table, but then would get in trouble for some reason...
