  1. Doesn't make for a nice fit. Mmm. Lyndon
  2. Same guy who welded my torque tube drilled this hole.
  3. On my torque tube fitting on the rear cabin area where the reo plate is fitted with the nylon Bush ???. In this place I found another reo angle in my kit that is not listed in my manual. Clearly an upgrade during manufacturing. Keeping in mind mine is an early planes about 2008 or 9 i believe. I do see on some buiks that in this area two angular pieces are on each side of the torque tube and run forward the rear of the cabin. I dont have these and guess it's a later upgrade. This area does have flex and would benefit from some further reinforcement. Any light that can be shed on this would be great. Lyndon
  4. Thanks. I'm sure it will be fine.Lyndon
  5. Lots I presume. Just being anal as it does control the plane . Lyndon
  6. Neat as
  7. I had it professionally welded. It's chrome molybdenum.. the welder thinks if its reasonable amount of load goes thru it it should be replaced. Because it's not as good as using new steel. Eg it has nicks. Grinding marks etc. I'm new to this ??? Has anyone had experience success or not welding and repairs on chrome molybdenum. I'm thinking not huge amount of load is transmitted thru it. Lyndon
  8. I have cut and moved the end straight. I would be interested to know if anyone else has had a issues with it being to close to the seat once fitted. Lyndon
  9. I'm sure it would. Specs are specs. That filter fits a Rotax a Briggs and Stratton and a Kawasaki and about one hundred more engines. I'm not using a Briggs and Stratton filter. But a balwin filter that fits a Briggs and Stratton. It's not from repco but from one of the biggest filter suppliers in Australia .
  10. It's even not right on the horizontal. I know a good welder. He can grind it and fix it
  11. The end has been welded on incorrectly from what I can see. As the elevator arm lines up perfect with the front part.
  12. My torque tube is binding and has a woof in it. Now I have to straighten it ??? Lyndon
  13. My dry run.
  14. Thanks for your input. I'm happy to do that as long as the parts I have go there and not somewhere important. I would rather ask a stupid question than make a stupid mistake. Lyndon
  15. Yes I know what they are for in a general sense. But before I go drilling holes I would like to know where they go. My manual has no chapter on carpet or angles that go on top of it. A pic of some ones floor or a pic of the extract of the manual would be most helpful. Lyndon
  16. Pics. Don't take the numbers as gospel.
  17. Does anyone have a pic of the angles or an extract from the book about carpet. My manual has nothing in it. Sf85 I have four. Under seat ribs. Se022 I have the wrong number as it's part of the elevator and its quite small. So I only have three angles I need to find a home for. ????? Lyndon
  18. Thanks for the heads up. I was going to use them. I will cut some from the left over sheets. Thanks Lyndon
  19. That makes sense as I have not installed the carpet yet . But I have no idea where they go as my manual has nothing on carpet. But I have plenty of it. Enough to do two planes by the looks of it. I really thank you for the help. I'm getting towards the end and it seems I spend all my time looking in the manual or looking for parts that don't exist because of an upgrade. All joys of building a plane but. Thanks Lyndon
  20. Thanks . I must have my part numbers mixed up. I certainly have the strap for the fuel sump. I can easily make a strap for the tap. Thanks Lyndon. Ps I have a few other parts I can't find in my manual. I'm getting towards the end and its a worry having parts left over .
  21. I'm ready for cabin paint. Tomorrow being Monday the weather is looking good so it shall be done.
  22. I have some parts I can't find a place for nor in my parts book or manual. SF021-SF085 and 2 x SF 022. Any help would be great. There is only a certain number of times I can go through through the manual in a day. Thanks Lyndon
  23. Fuel Lines and tap question. The fuel line under the fuselage shows three clamps which I dont have in my kit. I only the single hole type with the rubber insert which is for for my engine I think. also the fuel tap has a bracket SE 009-15 that I also dont have. A pic of this bracket if any one has it please so I can make one. Thanks Lyndon
  24. Ok . Thanks Rick. I got it. I will change the doubler. If I ever build another plane it will be a lot easier. Lyndon
  25. I don't quite understand that. But will have look at it on the weekend. What was cable tied goes on the bell crank. There seems a lot of slop in it that a washer won't fix. ?? I will have a look. Lyndon
