  1. "    not having an ‘apparatus licence’ for VHF radiocoms; and small boats were far more compliant with only 60% failing to have an apparatus licence for their vhf radios. "

I'm Not surprised, with the Mad inspector's sitting in their car waiting for the boaties coming home. Just to get abused by a Radio licence inspector,

I Personally saw an inspector at Berowra waters ramp, Take the Radio out of a boat & put it under the Wheel of his car to crush it.

The law said Have a radio in your boat for safety. then fine you for having one for Emergency use. No information from them at that time for training !. Unless you go HF. as I did.

    Then they want Two licences.

    AND

For safety your radio WILL change channels just as you got to 'your area' weather forecast. Channel 16 Priority over rides the weather channel.

Now they gone to the Useless short-Range uhf.

Incoming vessels have to report 24 hours Before docking. BUT uhf Can't be heard from that distance, so another Fine, from the Revenuers.

    Blooodi Bureaucrats.

  3.  Yes they are flogged, A lot have prop issues, BUT, Put on a fixed pitch prop ( for RAA when they take Old VH planes ).

    But,

How  many Recreational flyers will get through   11199 hr TTR.

    "  REGISTRATION : VH-ZTA
    COUNTRY OF MANUFACTURE: GERMANY
    TOTAL TIME IN SERVICE: 11700.8
    TTR: 11199.2 (NOT CERTIFIED) ".
Straight copy. with Identifier rego No.,
11,000 seems an awful lot of hours !. could it be a misprint ?.

  4. To do what others have said, takes a bit of courage to face those that took away my confidence.

AND  , still not fit enough to just 'jump in & do it'.

If there was a place ( farmer airstrip  ) away from ' the maddening crowds '

l could just play at the pretake-off scenero. No stress, or worry, just take my time, as slow as l am,

    Just a dream !.

AND Don,t forget, l will be playing to their tune, not a 10 but 95.

    OR l go  VH Experimental.

  5. Compliance

Most states for ' gas cooker appliances ' Do Not require a ompliance plate  .

    IF

Said cooker is  Not fixed / fastend in.

Just bring ' gas bottle ' to cooker, couple up &cook !.

    BUT

Put just one screw in & your caught by  Beauraucrasy.

    Remember PORTABLE.

It shows how UNSAFE Beauraucrasy makes things that should be simple.

Now back to planes !, still going Cheap at Jandakot, Slattery auction.

  6. I,m in complete agreement with jackc !.

The ford truck ( 1 tonner ) was fitted with a ' winnibago ' camper back.

ALL LEGAL !, untill you put you food and drinks in the cupboards AND the wife in the passenger seat.

The it is over the weight limit for driving on a standard car licence.

The co pany didn,t give a ssheet. How many times you got fined..

Untill someone took it to the courts.

Holden imported the ' Jackaroo 4x4.

Compliance plated as a 5 seater, even tho it has 7 seats.

Only South Australia fined each one they stopped.

    BY

Which tokens all Jackaroo,s should be retested with TWO seats !, then with THREE seats !, then another one untill you have SIX compliance plates.

JUST to please the Beauraucrates.  They are still ilegal in SA, & you will cop a fine.

    Crazy.

  7. Until that

    BIG REVOLUTION.

Then the proverbial poop hits the fan !

    and

    Starts the poopfight

The new microlights Don.t need an airfield as such, & will fly, then disappear Before the Cops & CASA gets  off their derriere.

There WAS a PP training group in Richmond, ( noisy sods ), but were chased out. Autogyro's in Eastern-Creek area. long gone.

How long before the RAA get the push.

All go to VH with the Big boys.

Unless the American 103 gets here.

  8. BUT

Were are the Flying fields that LET the UNLICENCED have a go.

    I only know ONE !.

Well north of Dubbo NSW . yet it seems That I need to go & spend at least a couple of weeks there, just to run the Taxiing, from the first slow ( is it aiming were l point it ) run.

to that High speed pre-take-off run, that will get my Heart pumping like crazy.

The second one l found is !!

Fly in and Fly out. NO road to that out post. ( any takers for the ' Care takers ' job ( NOT HAD A HOLIDAY IN MANY YEARS  )) He said.

Now have to get my Leg over !.

-THAT high cockpit combing, So I can dream of ' Soaring like an eagle '.

  10. TIME

I found that was a problem in my training !.

being quite happy to dawdle along at 65 mph, not a lot of force on the controls at that speed,

And plenty of time to remember all that bumfish & BUMMMFITCHH stuff, along with radio procedures, ON FINALS. that old hands take for Granted.

Then the CFI wants to go home early and has you roaring along at 80 mph, All controls are heavier than used to.

,No time between going from one part of lesson to the next !. Getting behind with the radio And holding tightly to the joystick with Fingers crushing the transmit button ON. The CFI Not happy,

Ho, for the Old days, without that fear of Not getting every thing in the right order, and to enjoy a sunday,s flying.
