Cyclists helmets are OK in small planes,
Head phones can have a soft over the head strap, with the hard strap behind the neck.
That way they can be worn with a helmet.

Wooden props have served us well, even through a couple of wars !.
The use of FRG , has been used a few times but is much better on the Outside, doing a good Finnishing job when there,s a rough surface to hide.
But laminating CF betweem wood is something else.
Has any one tried it, to check the finished strength, ?.

Will that be possible, considering ( a HummleBird ) 15 kgms fuel & tank 38.5 kgms motor, on either side of firewall. Only 35 horses needed, but 45 would be better.
Now weight of electric motor, then Batteries plus controllers, ?.

BUT
The smaller the prop radius, the higher the revs,
Equals 'inducted fan'.
Double motor-fan setup for takeoff, with one motor off for cruise.
Could have ' contra-rotateing fans for better efficiency,
Could have rear fan, folding for less drag.

"Were do you put the 'liqui Moly '
In the oil or the fuel tank !."
There was a molybdenum (spelling ) that was an oil additive, if l remember a black powder.
After adding & using, do you wash it all out with a dose of clean fuel !.

Had to climb up & inspect my roof this morning, just for the NRMA insurance.
