I,m having problems with my residential insurer, NRMA, they say we are old and not keeping up the property maintenance.
AND that cost $ 1870 for a standard brick veneer suburban home.

" people seeing us as privileged a$#holes with transport "
You mean like the Rich Sydney boaty that took off to Queensland when Sydney was locked up.
No fine for them, I wonder why !.

OIL Analysis.
the public ' buyer,s of second parts were up in arms over that idea, as there were No chance of having a reasonable chance of a GOOD buy from them.
Every thing was a disaster at the immediate future. not just a strip and rebuild but whole engine replacement. Nothing to save as it was worn completely out.
Train engines are run at optimal efficiency and can drop their oil on the go whilst replenishing at the same time. ( nope don,t know how, but oil on the tracks helps keep weeds down).

WHY
A reasonable question.
If like me you have Things gathering dust & could be ruined by insects or nature.
Isn.t there a swap, sale, or gift, to help another person, that will hopefully Use, whatever is discarded by the recipient. I too have plans & formers for two aircraft, BUT l want a ' friend ' to build and help with mine.
My ' gifted ' world cruising yacht is now traveling around the world, something. I wanted to do myself.
but couldn,t because of my hip getting too bad to look after that Dream. only 2 1/2 years later, a nice new hip.
PS : I could now use some money that I didn,t ask for, when disposing of that asset.

AND
Is the last 95-10-1103 Hb on the RAA register. Classed as a ' collectable 'item.
They may have removed it, but my rego papers still tell another story.

I love just ' sitting in my tin can ' dreaming of that moment, l take to the sky,s.
I totally agree the $ amout we expect for our efforts shouldn,t be reduced to the scrap value of the parts.
BUT
What is that value .

Maintenance! .
The 4X4 clubs tell everyone to carry spare parts AND to replace parts before going on long offroad trips.
My thought is, if replacing perfectly good parts, why not csrry them as spares, after all they were good Before having to remove them.

Bigger & better than my HB , would love to have it in the place of my Bird !.
BUT
It would be the Death of me,!, says she who must be obeyed.
Well at one stage there was 14 known HB,s out there.
So l would say a quarter of kits could be ' never to be finished '.
Why ?.
Because you do woodwork, & metalwork at school,
Then spend the next 30 to 40 years forgetting how bludi hard that was, ( when young ).
Then the kit arrives, & your enthusiasm peaks !.
A day or two pressing pop rivets, a week to get over the PAIN of unused muscles, how many to go, out of 33,000.
Maybe it,s a wooden frame, same thing, jump in Sanding everything in sight, make a couple of frames or stabiliser.
Look at what is has to be done to make a resemblance of your dream,
Also all those tools that most of us Don,t have.
IF You do finnish !, the Dreaded Bureaucrasy, for the paperwork will be the next obstacle.
Why Do we persivere, making what all the professionals Don,t want built in the first place.

SONY,S, first GPS ' pyxis ' also has a capacitor that counts the times the unit is activated. When its full the unit needs a ' return to maker ' fix.
Thats why it was returned to it,s box & forgotten.

Even designers, like Hummel , Will take the ' updated ' redesign ( from builders )that incorporates better features than the original design.
The original Hummel bird was as small as the 'WindWagon ', the latest Bird is much larger, has better lines, and is more efficient.

I agree that too much has been placed on interlectual rights, as a mater of fact a gorilla or similar has had its photo taking Rights removed by the courts,
After an organisation said it supposedly had 'interlectual ' rights. After the animal took a selfy.
At least one manufacturer ( Hummel Aviation LLC ) has said they don,t mind how many times their plan is handed down, if it produces One aircraft.
SHOULD I ASK.
Can we build as a team more than one aircraft. ( with extra payment ),
I remember Jabiru was being built as a training aid at a college in Sydney, finished plane then sold.
I don,t know of arrangement by Jabiru about renumeration .

The Sony Pyxus GPS came out 1991, l jumped at the chance of owning such an outstanding device.
The last bit of equipment was a Cmap cartridge GPS that conected to your laptop, to give a good chart of your area, with your posit I on shown.

Wouldn't ' used ' but no aircraft produced !. be OK as it conforms to what you desire. LoL
But seriously, if one manufacturer said " to build ONE aircraft "
Then when ten or more builders have failed, number eleven builds that ONE aircraft, it has produced, just what is stipulated.
Hopefully we keep using up, All those surplus plans to make Another flying aircraft.

Reply to my Hummel question ,.
" The plans should stay with the aircraft and the new owner, should complete the build ".
" You do not need to get new plans or a new serial number ".
" we would like to have your information to update our records.

PS should tell them " the Last registered HB on RAA, 10-95. ( even thou removed, it was/ is on my registration )

We recently had a storm & we ended up with bubbles in the front lounge room 'ceiling '. they sent their assessors One for inside ( he said No worries ) but another stomped around On the roof.
Roof upgraded & painted 3 years ago. He said the roofer had not made the weep holes large enough and the whirlybird not installed properly.
So this Wednesday we pay another roofer to Drill all those little holes on the roof then check ' what the heck ' is wrong with the ten year old whirlybird.
That is what OLD ( in their paperwork ) people have to put up with.
At $ 1850 we can have the ceiling replaced with money left over. ( ceiling repainted two year ago ).
