  1. I,m due to ge a referral from my  GP, this week, for a stress test !.

The first one was to check if l could survive my hip operation.

That tirst test was without any stress, as l couldent walk, let alone run on a treadmill, just a halter cardiac checker.

NOW SHOULD l indulge in helping to give casa & cohorts a reason to stop me dreaming of flying.

Never had a test !, should  be a srandard reply to their medical requirements.

  2. Hi Bex

I,m only a little a head of you, the years of sitting with that crook hip, really takes away your muscles.

18 months since my new hip, & Iv,e just started a little jogging,

Push up are 25 on the lower seat and 25 on the table top of the park bench.

With 2.5 klms walk to get there, lovely walk by the creek. ( don't forget l have to do the same distance after my jogging ).

Then it a large black coffee, with Honey, waiting for the strength to come back to my legs.

  3. Kasper

A HummelBird , & pilot was Shot at when flying over a lake.

He felt something and had a vibration, so returned to the landing field, to discover a smattering of shotgun pellets in one of his prop blades. ( making it unbalanced )

the Sherriff was called, who promptly called for Every one, the State Troopers surrounded the lake. were the Duck hunters quickly gave the culprit over.

America of course, But it could have been Canada,

  4. All that is OK,

If your happy with the finished product !.

    BUT

If it doesn,t hold up to your expectations, then you have to pay return postage, wait to see If they accept your version of Their fault.

If the First time you hand-prop your motor, the 'trailing edge ' comes off, Is it your fault OR their prop, as ordered for a hand started motor !.

Home made, was told by many to see if it is Strong enough,

So l put a band of metal around My prop to check If it would stop the motor before!  Selfdestructing.

Answer NO it was not That strong.

    BUT

It saves your engine from damage.

That prop was a test prop, and not finished to a good standard, all joints held well, no joint failure at all using epoxy construction glue.

Next prop finished to a much higher standard than original shop bought propeller,

Better rpm , less vibration, and Accidently smashed to bits,

Still No motor damage,  ( and it cost $85, frg covered, ) better than the third prop !.

Now l must finnish the next one with it,s ' semi-scimitar ' shape, hopefully t, Better.

  5. Great if you can get a spare prop, And that machine !.

If you need a courser pitch that machine won,t work for you.  ( Just lift that lofted pitch up another notch, )

    46 X 36 prop was quoted as $500 plus, $ 80 to make myself.

Why put that price so high for a simple wooden prop.

What price a Jabiru, must be very high !, near a $ thousand ld,e guess

  6. No kit props !.

Because  it,s SO easy to make it yourself, from buying a few planks of wood from Bunnings, glueing them together.

Length of prop ( from freinds plane ), PI times radius gives circumference, which is length of ' lofted ' layout, pitch is hight of one end of lofted length.

This gives angles from which you make pitch formers to chop the prop blank to shape.

    EASY

    And cheap !,

  7. YES ,

So how can you get all those Bureaucratic boxes ticked,  only to find you have to run into a rule, that hadn,t

SEEN the light of day since penned.

Passed the weight,  stall, etc,. But were or who came up with the  ' wing Size ' rule.

Do all aircraft have to be built to the Bureaucrats design ?.

Or only the smallest group, ' Bullies ' target .

Civil Aviation, seta the rule CASA puts their 'tweaks in, RAA/ GLIDING, put their interpretation of those rules.

    AND

We dumb-ass aviators have to know ALL THREE RULES & REGULATIONS.

  8. SO

    I,M TOTALLY CONFUSED.

By all this Super math,s and science.

    Birds have wings !,

    BUT

No math,s or science to make them fly !.

I wonder how they would survive if they had to spend Years learning all the Crap we have to learn ?.

One sixth of an hour to find your daily flying bill,

    Enough.

  9. C A S A

It,s suposed to be for Safety.

    BUT

It seems it,s just another club for Bureaurocrats.

How does it make a plane Safe , move it to another category, ,.

    ONLY MAKES SENSE TO BUREAUROCRATS.

Perhaps we should go Back to Pre-RAA,

Skydiving used to get done in a weekend, now one full day for that Bureaurocrats paperwork.

Hang gliding was going great, now it,s more rules, to manuver around ! Trikes RAA or Gliding? .

It,s all getting to Paperwork heavy to Fly.

  10. This explains that Big push for GA/ VH aeroplanes going into RA Australia.

That Big weight increase would have allowed, Mr Middleton to keep his VH rego.ed planes, & fly under RAA rules.

Now some RAA designed planes will go to VH experimental, just to P  off, the Bureaucrats, that tinkered with the rules that were in place for years.
