  1. SO !

A Nissan Micro, having a headon smash with a Toyota LandCruiser, will hurt thse in the Big Toyota MORE.

    NOT

From what lv,e witnessed, those little cars Fold all the way back to the rear seats.

Front or rear crash. They just dont hold together well.

In Saudi Arabia, those small cars Are BANNED from their roads, for saftey,s sake.

  2. Iv,e had an EV ever since  my hip wore out, ,

I don,t need it anymore, it just sits in the garage waiting to have new batteries every couple of years.

    AND

Those 40 Ah ' mobility scooter ' batteries are worth twice the price of a large car battery.

  3. All vehicles pay for roads !?

    WRONG!  Cyclist pay Nothing !.

And are exempt from the Normal laws, on ' seat belts ' carrying passengers in trailers, compulsory third party insurance and registration.

Why bring weight into the rules for EV vehicles paying milage tax ?.

Thats the trick that killed the Steam car !.

  4. I don't really understand the animosity towards EV "

Because it's forever pushed down our throat.

England !,No ICE cars by 2050. Shame for the Vintage car drivers. No were to use their dream machine !.

    !0 % outside city's. What of those ' Grey Nomads '

AND I,  Only drive for pleasure, Very LOW mileage annually. because it's long trips, to go Somewhere.

Owned my Delica 14 years, for only 100, 1000 Klms , will be Low Ks when sold, But High years.

Son-in-law Over 100,000 klms per year For work !.

Give me a $ 80,000  car, That price IS a life times fuel. ( On average ownership. )

solar panels for the 80 year olds, when will we see any return on that investment ?.

  5. In my defence !.

Lots of people said a home chopped prop would be No good and, dangerous.

So l made a circular band that fitted the prop, then l pulled the band onto the prop slowly, thus reducing the revs.

Thats when the prop  broke !, very pleased it broke uniformly, then l killed the ignition, with my salary switch.

The replacement prop Was a different kettle of fish ! In that a 'deck-chair stand l put away was facing the wrong way.

and it fell into the prop, as per picture.

Checked hub runout & seems l got away with only a busted prop & Pride.

Harder wood in the center with easily worked Maple on outer for all that shaping. Light covering of glass

    Finnishes the job.

  6. scientist have said it Has happened in the dim past, and it's fluctuating again  at the present, they don't know if it's due to the sun or not.

BUT what happens if the natural magnetic flux on our electrical bits is reversed. Has anyone even looked into that scenario ?.

Due on the 1st of the...........

  7. AND

If the reversal of the Earth's Magnetic field, renders our type of " electricity " useless, we will go back to the caveman era.

Engine starters will be crank handles, & blow torch to heat the head of stationary motors. like the vintage diesels of the museums.

The future is Not set in stone. ( l read somewhere ).

  8. OUT BUSH.

When camping is the only time l go Solar powered. the thought of a generator thumping away all day & night, would keep me awake.

l just can't afford those super LIPO4 batteries,  ( price that is ). Two starter in van, and two for inverter.

And they Don't work in the forest. ( solar panels ).

  9. I just used the cheaper Tasmania Oak, & Meranti,  cheaper  " Construction epoxy glue. Cheaper hairdresser's gloves, with throwaway $1,50 brushes. Seems to work for the Half VW motor,

My problem, All the distractors telling me " it won't work & you'll kill yourself. LoL

The wood yard told me Tassie oak is not OAK but

Tasmanian oak is the name used for three almost identical species of eucalypt hardwoods that are normally marketed collectively. E. delegatensis (alpine ash) occurs at higher altitudes, while E. regnans (mountain ash) is found in wetter sites; E. obliqua (messmate) has a wide distribution, occurring in wet forests but also extending into drier areas. "

    Mountain Ash - E. Regans
    Messmate Stringybark - E. Obliqua
    Alpine Ash - E. Delegatensis "
They have similar Charteris tics and are grouped together much in the same way as the imported timber Meranti which comprises a huge number of species.

I even went to the extreme of making a half circle " prop smasher " to see for myself if my prop was strong enough, then accidently smashed the replacement prop !. and a " spoke shave, to save on sanding.
