I agree "solder & twist the wire and put heat shrink insulation over the joint. If both ends are properly tinned first & the twisted joint and then fully soldered there is no better way IMO."

But I cant DO these type of test due to lack of education.

But can and do pull down & repair motor engines, starter's, alternators, and brakes,

    because it is interesting!.

Failed my general aviation, stupid answer to "what causes icing" Moisture?

Bad place for icing is Darwin while great flying at McMurdo Dry Valleys in antarctica

Also loft, laminate & carve my prop's

  2. What is "superseded-Certified Amateur built" 28

Is it the 95-10 prefix ? when the new/old rules pushed them off that prefix?.

    Grandfather Clause - 1

    ISSUE 4 - AUGUST 2016

    GRANDFATHER CLAUSE

All RAAus aircraft operating prior to Issue 4 of this Technical Manual may continue

    operating under grandfathering arrangements.

  3. "Regarding the thread on 25 Nm radius limit for RAA pilots without Nav endorsements".

Can I put this out about training & the 25 Nm limit!

My old flying club has a satellite facility at Tarree NSW.

    this from the committee:

    " SRFC Hi All,

"At last nights general meeting it was put forward and agreed that we conduct training one weekend a month out of Rylstone Airpark,"

Now that;s a lot more than 25Nm, and Tarree is further still,

Same plane same instructor but a new & interesting place to learn from.

    I hope it's still running.

HummelBirds can also go onto the "experimental register" then can be 750 kgm and no wingloading. When you HAVE payed for registration (was on the 95-10-register) then told, no you cannot have it, it gets to you.

Nobody has shown me how to calculate the "wingloading of, The SpaceShuttle for it's vertical takeoff, or the jump jet that can hover.

The fact they are not in our category to suit the bureaucrats & lawyers.

Depression is the reason to "put the boot" into what was their dream, from retirement for five to ten years watching it take shape, only saw the one on the scrap trailer, plus told of one too late to salvage anything. it was registered Interim before that date but was told, the grandfather clause didn't apply to INTERIM regisration

and seeing hundreds of flying HummelBirds overseas.
